No I don't have any problem with saying it. If I'm not sure of what I'm telling someone, I tell them so - that I don't know if what I'm saying is right, that I'm guessing what I think it is.

Yes pride plays a key role. But I as an individual will tell you I don't know simply because I don't all the time.

Sometimes. My pride also makes it hard for me to ask questions or seek help when I need it. I get by, though.

I'm not saying I'm not prideful, because I am. But this is one phrase I have no problem saying. If I don't know the answer to something, I'll say so.

I guess I have no pride then, because I don't know diddly lol.
Seriously, I used to work with corporate lawyers and one of the things that amazed me was that they always told me how they appreciated the fact that I'd say to them "I don't know, let me find out and I'll call you back". Apparently no one else ever said that to them! lol

A little, sometimes. Most times, I avoid saying "I don't know" by saying "I'll find out" and then run immediately to my computer and Google it. God bless the Google.
It doesn't help that all my friends expect me to know everything, all the time.

NEVER! It is simply a starting point. When asked if I can speak a language such as Russian, I always answer, "Yes." Then I quickly follow-up and let the person know I just haven't taken the time to learn yet. Realizing you don't know something empowers you to take action.

Not at all. However, if I'm asked a question that requires a statement of fact or opinion, I try to delineate between the two. I may not always do that as well as I could.

not at all. nobody knows everything and I have no problem saying I don't know something rather than make an *** of myself trying to pretend I do. And when I don't know, I go find out so I will know next time.

I say it proudly.
There are many things I do not know and will never know so to boast that I not only have the answer, but I am special because I have this magical answer that is without parallel seems absurd to me.
