I had a friend that used Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. That's pretty unusual for a wedding, but it works.
Love you Till the End by The Pogues (an Irish band)
All I Want - Toad the Wet Sprocket
Give a Little Bit - Supertramp
The Scientist - Coldplay
Green Eyes - Coldplay (only if either of you actually have green eyes!)
Check out the Indie Rock Love songs under iTunes essentials.

We ran into the same problem. We definitely didn't want people flashing back to other weddings they had been to while our music was playing because the songs were all the same. We printed out lists of the most popular wedding music and made sure none of our songs were on the lists.
I am walking down the aisle to a piano only version of Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N Roses. Choosing slow or instrumental versions of fast songs opens up whole bunch of possibilities. Pick your favorite rock song and search for instrumental versions or slow covers on iTunes.

For your wedding play a slow sond like john mayer or jack johnson. And for your reception, go all out with modern rap and rock! get your playlists from 95.5 the beat and 97.1 the river. Have fun because that would be a wedding I wouldn't want to miss.. just don't forget the open bar!

I chose a very old classic: Because. The words are amazing: Because you come to me with naught save love, and hold my hands and lift mine eyes above....
Another that my husband chose was Shania Twain: From This Moment. Very very touching! And it expresses what each is thinking!!!
My daughter is currently trying to decide, so I have these things on my mind. For wedding entry music, Pachabels Canon is a classic. Have a good time.

Well, we had classical music (nontraditional) play as the whole wedding party walked in and myself. I had only one song sang during the ceremony, which was a little 'cliche' called The Prayer. (we had a family unity candle ceremony with our daughter). As we left the ceremony, we played "The Emperial March" from Star Wars to honor my husbands sick obsession!
As we entered the reception, we played the UGA Fight Song, as it is our passion...UGA football.... After that, we actually danced to 'our' song, which happened to be country.
The only other thing we did that was really fun, was karaoke...it was a hoot!!!
Whatever you decide, it is okay! It is YOU and HIS day!
Good Luck!

Other than the cliches and country (personal choice) your only options are hard rock and rap. Personally I'd leave the reception if I heard that, if your friends and family like rap and rock then go with that. I missed my senior prom because of that music.

whatever you do do not use lips of an angel... its a song about cheating... but I am planning my wedding... and I am using the "this will be'' classic song as my (coming down as husband and wife song) and for walking down the aisle I am deciding still but yeah... choose something that shows your personailities...
search for love songs on google and some nice ones will pop up :)

Sounds super different than for the U2 factor....i'm no longer able to stand Bono regardless of the undeniable fact that. truthfully regardless of the undeniable fact that, our comments do no longer remember. If those are the songs that have particular which means to you and your HTB then that's what you are able to play.
