Don't look at the enormity of 100# to lose. Try to make good choices one day at a time. Look at the reality of a heart stent and your need to get healthy habbits. DO eat during the day so you aren't massivly hungry enough to gorge yourself at night. Concentrate your meals on fruits and vegtables, and lean protein. Take a walk at lunchtime, even if it is one block to start. Drink a glass of water instead of a soda. Use a smaller plate and take small portions, then wait to see if you are still hungry. Most of all, avoid sweets as sugar is addictive and will make you crave more. Good luck on your journey.

Start by eating 4-6 small (healthy) meals throughout the day. Spread your meals apart--eat something every couple of hours. Get rid of the junk foods. Stay away from fast foods, candies, sodas and other sweets. If you really want a soda, go for a diet (preferably caffeine free) soda.

Drink water! Lots of water each day! If you feel hungry (or bored) drink some water before going for food! Water really does help with weight loss.

Of course, exercise! That doesn't mean you have to run or walk a mile each day. Just do what you like to do--walk, ride a bike, dance in your house, run up and down your steps. Start out slowly and increase the activity as your body gets used to it.

Also, keep a journal of what you eat, when you eat, and how many calories you're taking in. Sometimes we go into shock when we add the calories up at the end of the day. Since you're 100 lbs overweight, try to keep your calorie intake to 1500 per day. Decrease your intake to around 1200 once you don't have the extra 100 lbs to lose.

Keep a positive attitude and believe in yourself! Only YOU can change yourself and change your life. Set a goal and start working hard to acheive it! You're going to feel so good once you get started!!

Remember that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. You may want to consult with a doctor before starting a diet and exercise program...

Good luck!☺

I was thinking that over eaters anoynmous might be a good outlet for you. There are other woman with the same type of eating possible disorders such as yours. You will get a lot of support and advise. Check your local telephone book and give them a call. That is great that your stopped smoking and drinking though.. ! Those two habits could have taken quite a toll on your body over time. Now you have conquered two very difficult habits.
Good luck to you.. Keep your chin up.

You can eat something that will make you thin.

several foods contains so little energy that our body will need more energy to digest it through the long process and absorbs the nutrients. So by eating these type of foods, we hope the calories intake vs outtake balance will be negative.

However most of them belong to the vegetables and fruits.

Onions and Garlics
Cucumber
Tomato
Cabbage
Celery
Lettuce

Fruits : Apricot, Mandarin orange, Blackberry, Melon Cantaloupe, Blackcurrant, Peaches, Guava, Honeydew melon and Lemon.

Try mixing them in salad.

become a VEGETARIAN it is easier than you think.
you can eat burritos, soups, breads, sandwiches, chips n dip and all kind of awesome things.
it makes you lose MUNDO wait.
i am an on again off again vegetarian. the first weekend alone of being a vegetarian my stomach was flat (my tummy was a lil pudgy i am a thick girl)...it makes you poo a lot and all the fatty things found in meat isn't there.

become a vegetarian
no soda
no candy
no sweets
no fried foods
lots of fresh fruits and veggies
not so many breads (carbs)
drink plenty of water
not so many juices
(don't put it in your body unless it is good for you)
do that for a while and you should be awesome

It sounds more like an eating disorder. Have you read much about binge eating its just as serious as anorexia! Dont pay attention to any rude comments that are left on here....but you should try to talk to someone....it sounds like emotional problems!
