No I'm not an Earnhardt Jr. fan or a Jeff Gordon fan. Jeff is a great driver but the best driver in the modern era is without a dought Tony Stewart.

I most definitly was not one of the defiant beer guzzling, Marlboro men who decided to degrade the sport and the man that Gordon was honoring by throwing 1/12th of my life onto the track. It was embarresing and watching it over and over on ESPN showed very little inteligence on the fans behalf. I think it is a shame that Eanhardt and E Jr. fans were so disrespectful to a man that was honoring the accomplishments before him and recognizing how lucky he was to be passing these accolades.
Next Jeff Gordon may be tied with Tony Stewart and Matt Kenseth as the best driver in this era. Tony and Jeff have more wins and Kenseth is still newer to the sport but they are the top 3 drivers in the sport bar none.

You should check the accuracy and education of your statement. Would you please show me your proof and reason for making a statement that more less says the people acting like this yesterday were ALL Jr fans? Statements like that are pure ignorance. It wasn't just Jr fans. I, myself, am a TRUE NASCAR fan, I love Jr, but I would NEVER act like a freaking idiot like they did. And I always give credit where it's due. I don't care much for Gordon but he has his talent and he wouldn't be where he is if he didn't. I think saying he's the greatest is going to far, but he IS one of the greatest of today. I also don't base my liking of a driver on just their on track whether they win or lose, I base it on personlity and attitude as well, which is what makes you a TRUE fan of someone. We should stop calling these idiots "fans", because they simply are not true fans, because us true fans don't act like that. Gordon won that race fair and clean, he deserved his on the track celebration, but it was cut short because people don't know how to act. Pretty ridiculous.

Compared to Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon is still wet behind the ears. Gordon's racing record outside of the Cup series is pretty lame. No IROC title, only a handful of Busch wins, and no truck wins. If only Mark had gotten into a Chevy sooner, who knows what he might have accomplished.

Defently best in the modern era, when you win 77 races (so far), and 4 championships (so far), that not only makes you the best in your era, but one of the best alltime.
And on some of the fans, thats just alcohol induced. No matter where you go, if someone is hated, your gonna have a few drunk idiots chucking something.

I'm a Earnhardt Jr fan but a bigger Gordon fan. He did awsome in the race at Talledga, but I understand why the people threw stuff at him, I'm not saying I agree with their decisions, but I am saying that I understand why they did it.

I'm not a Gordon fan and would have gladly thrown anything at him. Nascar is all for Gordon and the money Hendrick motorsport has. Stewart may have said he was sorry but I believe Nascar does manipulates the outcome of races
