well you could get rid of the beer, but that wont solve the problem, they will throw soda cans and anything else that has the weight to make the trip over the fence. but arresting the idiots who threw the cans is a great start, and if they keep doing that they will think twice when they are getting raped in prison for a night

I think if they are caught and arrested for throwing cans or anything else they should be banned from attending a Nascar event. I know that is kinda impossible. Selling beer at those events bring a lot of money to Nascar and they can't very well not allow people to bring their own drinks, because people would be in long lines to get beer ( which might be good- this way they can sober up while waiting to get beer)
My opinion is, those are not true Nascar fans. If any one is disrespecting Sr- its the fans

I am a beer vendor at other sports venues. Nascar doesnt allow beer vendors except at three sites. The problem is that they need a SMALL staff of dedicated trained beer guys to sell beer at events. People are consuming way to much beer at these events. I hope Nascar will eventually allow beer vendors to sell at Nascar events and ban people from bringing in coolers of beer. I also hope that Nascar will not hire one of those corrupt concession companies like Aramark or Sportservice to bring out like 300 vendors at every Nascar race where every beer is like $8.00. Nascar should train it's own beer guys and just charge people a couple of bucks a beer that would solve alot and make them some good money.

so far nascar has been tolerant of carrie ins at the tracks,if this keeps up they may ban all that, which means fans will only be able to buy beer at the concession stands in paper cups. First I think they will stick to the arresting those that do those type of things as was the case last weekend,a night inthe slammer and a hefty fine will change their mind, also I believe their mug shot will be posted at all tracks and will be banned from attending any races put on by nascar. That has been mentioned already and may have been implimented already.

Drink the beer then throw the can...
Sure, send Gordon out in a parking lot of 100,000 fans and have him find the cars to the fans that threw beer cans. I would hope someone would be filming this event to give us more entertainment during the week, lol

Ban them from races, or even arrest them. NASCAR would have to foot the bill for maybe two or three races to have super-heavy security and then people would stop. It's hard to ban someone from a race, so maybe arrest a few people. Innocent fans are getting clobbered in the back of the head by beer cans being thrown. It's not right. It's trashy!

Its only a matter of time before they stop allowing coolers to be brought in. try throwing a paper cup on the track. Idiots prolly hit more fans in the front rows then the track. Arresting 10 people out of thousands isn't going to work. It will be buy a hot, more foam than beer, paper cup of beer for $5 before you know it, and it serves them right.
I don't think it was just jr. fans, but prolly more jr. fans than anything since 75 or 80% of the fans at Tally are Jr fans..... it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

Personally no more outside beer brought into the stands. When you go to a vendor and buy one it is put in a "plastic cup" and your ticket stub is punched when 6 is punched your cut off.
As for payback then 14 who were arrested(that's all they arrested) should clean up the track and stands.
If the do it again and is caught then banned from the venue.

I think this shows maturity in Jr.s part ... now dont get me wrong im not a jr fan (Big JEFF fan) but the way jr. doesnt like the fans for what they do is great that just shows that the jr. fans are pure rednecks that is sad that they cant just shut their mouths when jeff won yesterday the least they could have done is cheered for the winner i mean comon if you were jeff that would have made you so mad to see fans throwing cans and booing thats hoorable.

First I want to comment on your statement. So you are saying by doing the exact same things those iditos did, you are proving a point or making yourself better? PLEASE....what is with you people? Two wrongs sure as hell don't make a right, it just means you are no better than them and you have sunk to their level, get a grip.
As far as solving the problem, as I said in an earlier post, a lot of it has to do with the track's control. Talladega lets you drink as much as you want, buy as much as you want, and drink it wherever you want. This has to be controlled better. Texas has control, there is the Beer Garden where you buy and drink and dispose of your drink container. They don't sale to people who have obviously had enough, and they stop selling beer an hour before the race is over (it's calculated by how many laps are left) so that people have time to sober up. The only beer you can have in your seat is what you can fit in that tiny little cooler, which isn't really enough to get drunk. Better control over things like this plus 0 tolerance by law enforcement at the track, would sure help to control this situation better. Show no mercy, and they will think twice next time. This happened twice or 3 times as bad one year i was there, than yesterday. But i'm glad to see SOME ppl where actualy arrested yesterday. it's a start, but more has to be done. Unfortunately, you can't control every single idiot.
