Why can't they do the spell check before they submit their misspelled questions?

When I see a lot of misspelled words I usually move on to another question but for someone to comment on it is just plain rude. I grew up with a father who always corrected me on grammar and spelling. I hated it but at the same time I'm glad he corrected me. But people don't want to hear that. I have a friend that uses then all the time. He never uses the word than. I can't figure out if he knows how to use then and than correctly (because he is very smart) or if he just doesn't care. Either way I've had to leave it alone even though it drives me crazy! Nobody likes a know it all. I try to be humble in all things I do because as soon as I get cocky I get put in my place.

Your guy is having ego and self-esteem problems since he's unemployed, I suspect. He doesn't like you reminding him of things he hasn't gotten done yet, either. On the other hand, I see a bunch of red flags here. He won't let you use his tools? He won't fix anything for you? He won't let you remind him of anything. Trust me, honey, once you are married, he will be even worse. Right now he's the nicest he'll ever be. Is that what you want? Truly, I would not rush into a marriage with this man. Wait until he's employed and until you've had time to determine if you can really be happy together (maybe another year).

Don't worry about it I had asked about something and I got an answer saying that it was too long and I should have an award for longest question and I had some on about my spelling as well. I use spell checker now cause I know my spelling is not great though funny enough it has got better since I've been on here.

Its just the way some people are.I see it on here all the time.Someone asked a question earlier that wasn't very clear and some nasty person said"learn to speak English first,it might help".Why are people so horrible,I guess some of them are just immature. And whats so wrong with the odd spelling mistake,it might even be just typing error.

I'm big on grammar and spelling. I don't like "how r u 2day?" or any other kinds of spelling like that- and sometimes I make it a point to say so in my answer. The reason being is because well, when I see teenagers at my school unable to spell words that my seven year old brother just had to spell for a spelling test in the first grade, it upsets me.

However, I'm not as picky with spelling because some words are tricky!

Jaffa,

Believe it or not some people on this site are editors like myself. We read documents everyday for a living to pick out incorrect words. I think for me incorrect spelling just stands out like a sore thumb but I have not corrected anyone on this site about it. Maybe some people are just trying to help you with your spelling and hinting to you a spell checker is on the top or some people have nothing else better to do.

Sorry but spelling Iraq as Araq wrongly TWICE in the question is not really minor, it's fairly fundamental!

No need for rudeness, but sarcasm should be expected. You made a substantial error which would ensure many particular answerers would not respond to such a poor question; it self-selects for sarcastic answers.

Those that are sarcastic (or rude) about truly minor errors should be pitied.
Then shot.

I have been on many email lists and message boards, and i have never seen the likes of how so many people are so hung up on spelling (and sometimes grammar) like they are here. I cant understand it either. People come here with their questions and problems looking for answers, not for criticism about their spelling.

Have you ever been driving your car, Well then you always get some Idiot sounding of his hooter, or making rude sign's they become aggressive behind the wheels, because they are surrounded by the metallic frame, and they feel safe, and in that?Like those police spellers they can bully other people. Face to face they are wimps?
