I am very fond of the Gospel of Mark probably because I have spent more time studying it than any other biblical book. I love Romans because of the way Paul so clearly explicates the Christian doctrine of salvation. I also like Isaiah because of the eschatological promises it gives to Israel who is at that time in a very dire situation.

Well, I'm a musician and worship leader, so obviously the book of Psalms is probably my favorite. I also love the book of Romans, for the same reason as you. Proverbs, because it offers a lot of wisdom. And probably the book of James, because it highlights some of the least understood aspects of the Bible (for instance, that we must strive to keep our tongues in check, and that true saving faith leads to a life of good deeds -- not that good deeds save us, but that true Christians strive to love their neighbor and serve others).

I like the Gospel according to John, because it is different from the synoptic gospels ,and gives readers a closer look at Christ, such as at the last supper, since John was one of his closest companions.

I really appreciate the counsel given in Proverbs.

It seems that every single scripture in there is beneficial to the way we live today. If we follow the counsel in there, all should go well.

I particularly love Proverbs. I think it is the book I hear most as I go about my daily business, it helps me with my dealings with people.

I also love Ephesians, it speaks so much about the love Jesus has for us :)

I like Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes.

If I had to pick one of those, I'd go with Proverbs... some good, poetical prose with some good advice here and there.

James and Matthew

James: because it's so straight forward.

Matthew because it has so much of the Saviors teachings in it.

Have a great day!

My favorite is 1st and 2nd Kings because it is there that Elijah is introduced. One of my favorite characters in the Bible.
