I recently downloaded a PDF of the form for the Federal Tax ID for businesses. I cannot find where to mail it. I live in Blue Springs, Missouri. So if anyone knows where exactly I need to mail it to, please tell me. Thanks!

By Tax ID if you mean you mean your FEIN (Federal Employee Identification Number) required if you are going to have employees or in most states if you must charge sale tax.

Don't mail it! With you business information in hand, call
1-800-829-4933. You can do it all over the phone. Takes only a few minutes, like 5 minutes. They will give you your FEIN number (or sometimes just called your EIN) over the phone.

There is an even better way than through snail mail now. You can go to www.irs.gov/forms and publications SS4. Fill out the information for your Federal Tax ID (Employer Identification Number or EIN) right there at your computer and submit it via the internet directly to the IRS. It will take only a minute or two. It can't get much easier than that and you'll save yourself the $0.39 cents in postage too.

I wish you great success in what ever business you've chosen.

The first 2 answers are both correct. The only thing I can add is links to the IRS website with the same information they gave.
