I was exhausted after watching that movie. I agree that the emotinal stress was very one sided. That side being the dark and depressing side of life.

That's not to say the movie was a bad movie or that its message wasn't important. It was, as you said, simply "depressing," to watch his pursuit unfold.

I certainly am glad that I was able to walk out of the theatre knowing it had a happy ending, but I agree with you. I was worn out after that film.

I watched it and theory the two important actors have been very good. Wilfred Bramble found as lonely and not having the ability to return to words along with his gender whilst Harry H Corbett found as slightly bit a extensive head. don't know if the two have been actual, however the programme became very interesting. It became additionally unhappy that they could no longer get from now on artwork different than for Steptoe and Son.

It was hard to watch everything he went through. It would have been great to see more of the happiness but I suppose the movie was really about the "pursuit".

No..it was fantastic...a person overcame extreme odds...by hard work and determination....and made something of himself...all the while raising a child to have hope..

Why is this depressing? Because it shows hope?

Are you a fundamentalist trying to spread fear...instead of hope?

not at all. I found it to be mind-roastingly great and uplifting.
I work in telesales and thought it was a nice rags to riches story.

I did not find it depressing, it reminded me a lot of my childhood. These things actually happen to people, it's life.
