My friend told me it was illegal because in massachusetts the age of consent is 16. My girlfriend is 15 and if i get her mad she can send me to jail. It makes zero sense that there is no fine print saying that there can be a 4 year age difference. My girl is the only girl i am interested in and by the time she turns 16 i will be going to college. What should I do?

First, sex is something special that should happen between and man and his wife. The law makers believed that when it was created; so, the law gives a child time to mature before consenting.
Four years is a big difference. What if you were 16 and there was a 12 year old... See the problem. You SHOULD be mature to know that anyone under 16 does not have the right to consent. In other states the age is higher. I've never met a girl that said she did the right thing by giving up her virginity before mature adulthood or marriage. Infact, once a girl looses her virginity (under 18) she is likely to have 2 partners a year until she is married if she isn't a sex addict.
She is 3 times more likely to get pregnant. 10 times more likely to have an abortion, and 35 times more likely to get cervical cancer. Oh, and if she's had an abortion she is 10 times more likely to get breast cancer and 200% more likely to commit suicide.
If you love her enough you'll wait for her or move on to someone you love enough to marry. Then you can enjoy all the sex that you want.

Get a new girlfriend or stop having sex.
No matter how you two feel about each the law will not care if you get in trouble. It's that simple. I know it sucks but a perfect example is a big case here in GA where and 18 year old male had consensual sex with a 15 year old girl and is now sitting in prision for 10 years.
Your choice.

In America it is called rape.No matter what 15 is a minor. You my, smart young man , are asking for trouble.
Wait until she become legal.Or You are looking at doing some time! Think about the consequences.

Wait. If you care enough about her and if she cares enough about you, I say wait. It seems you really care for her but is jail time really worth it? I don't know what it is in Massachusetts but in Texas, It can get you 10-15 years prison time.

You can either not have sex with her and go to college, or have sex with her and go directly to jail. It's a no-brainer. Maybe you should be dating someone who is of legal age?

It's called statutory rape. Maybe she wouldn't report you if she ever got mad at you, but her parents could if they ever found out. You don't want to risk your future. Take lots of cold showers!
