Hi everyone who was kind enough to bring me support the last few days. They've been horrible. The emptiness was extremely painful. On Saturday, we went to our puppy of 13 yrs' memorial service at a pet cemetary. They let us be with him in a room for quite some time. The sight of him made me so very happy and I kept hugging and hugging him. It felt so good to hold him one more time, smell him one more time. He looked at peace and looked as though he was young and healthy again. He was a beautiful black labrador, just beautiful and the kindest being ever. We walk through the pet cemetary while he was being cremated. Then they gave me his ashes. I will forever have him with me, always. This help bring closure which I desperately needed. Again thank you to all for your thoughts and prayers. He is for sure in Heaven and waiting for me. I'm lighting a candle tonight for him and all the beautiful furry beings that have left to go to Heaven and await us at Rainbow Bridge.

I'm really glad the Rainbow Bridge poem helped the other day (I'm the one that posted it for you...). It brought me great comfort when I lost my Aussie earlier this year...

I know that Normandy is at Rainbow Bridge now playing with my Aussie Jack - They're playing with their toys and having a blast!

I'm really glad to hear this, your first post was so upsetting. The pet crematorium sounds lovely.

My cat of 18 years died 7 months ago now, and I still can't read the rainbow bridge poem without crying. I'm glad you've found some closure, I hope you find another dog to be such a loving owner to.

i've got faith there's a Rainbow Bridge, I think of a extensive park-like place with a huge hill, each thing coated in lush green grass, then a small creek working superb in the process the middle, a crystal clean creek, and then the sunlight is shining and theres rather some flora and theres a huge rainbow, and theres a curved wood bridge going over the creek, and theres canines and cats working to hug their vendors. R.I.P to Gigi, i'm hoping you meet her lower back on Rainbow Bridge.

I know that Normandy was a great dog, and his spirit will live in you forever. He will help you through both the good and the bad, becuase dogs are our comfort, even in their passing.

Be strong, because Normandy is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, and you will see him again someday.
God Bless!

Just thinking about that poem brings tears to my eyes. It makes me remember the day I had to put my collie to sleep. I hope you find as much comfort in it that I did...
