ok, a lot of people said my question was not clear so i will wright it again.

Do you belive in Darwins theory of evolution? I am learning about Darwin in school right now but I don't know if it is true or not. I believe in God and my belifs go against Darwin, but there is lots of science to back him up. I would just like to know your perspective on Darwn and his theory. is that clear enough?!

Of course. Most who understand call it the Fact of Evolution. It has 175 years of data supporting it with *not one* challenge.

*Many theists* accept the ToE as the best explanation for the diversity of life - e.g.: see link for >10,600 clergy accepting it.

[Edit]: My "perspective on Darwn and the ToE" would be long and involved... Feel free to use email should you truly want.

Yes! I think as Christians we need to realize that things did not just apear as they are today in 2007, on the day that God created this Earth. Time has changed so that means we and our surroundings must change over time and that is all Darwin was saying. Evolution means change over time! We have all done that, thats why we don't stay the same age all of our life. It's really simple we humans just make it complicated. Life was not a big bang theory, if it was everything would not have changed and also we, as humans would not have lasted this long.

I do not 'believe' in the theory of evolution any more than I 'believe' in the theory of gravity.

These thing do not require belief. They require trust in the scientific method and that has shown itself to be pretty trustworthy.

Just as there is gravity (masses attract each other) and the theory of gravity (how and why masses attract each other), these is the fact of evolution, of organisms changing and adapting over generations and the theory of evolution which gives a model of how and why this happens.

You should realise that while Darwin was one of the first to propose the theory of evolution he was just a man, and like all men he made mistakes and assumptions. However, the theory of evolution has been reviewed and refined by thousands of scientists and the basic tenant of species changing over time into ones more suited to their environment has been shown correct over and over again.

All this means is that we were not created in the form that we have now. Whether the universe was created with a plan such that humanity would come about, or whether we are here as a result of chance you need to decide for yourself, but you need to accept the scientific facts that the universe is about 13.7 billion years old, the Earth is about 4.5 billion years old and life has been evolving in some form for at least the last 3.5 billion years.

As a final comment, unrelated to the above, the ability to communicate complex concepts via our use of language is a major part of what has made humanity so successful. Spend more time learning and practicing clear communication and writing skills, it will make you more successful in your life.

I believe in Darwins theory. And I also believe it makes more sence than the theory of creation.
Please note that I also believe in God. Theres no reason why the theory of evolution can't be true and there still being the existance of God.
It is okay for you to believe the theory of evolution because, as you've said, there is a lot of scientific proff to backi it up. Just because you believe this theory, does not mean you have to completly rework your belief system, or abandon the idea of god completly (though I'm sure some people would have you think that).

the actual undeniable actuality that you concentration on Darwin a lot tells me accurate off the bat you be conscious of little or no about evolution, or technology mainly. Darwin might want to have under no circumstances been born. I assure you evolution might want to nevertheless be the medical consensus in the present day. it might want to have taken somewhat more advantageous time to achieve popularity, yet there is not any way creationism might want to have survived medical scrutiny till 2011. first of all, Darwin did not arise with evolution. the perception were expressed already and easily lacked a particular formality, as well because the mechanism of organic decision which Darwin might want to introduce in his printed artwork. noticeably, a scientist named Lamarck grow to be one among Darwin's inspirations. 2d, Darwin grow to be no longer the basically human being on the time to take an activity interior the transformation of species. He grow to be a perfectionist and a pal recommended him to speed and submit, because human beings were drawing a similar end and he might want to have the honour of being the first taken from him. It grow to be an theory whose time had come. Darwin did not arise with it, and he wasn't the basically one engaged on it. (The race to submit grow to be already a staple of technology). 0.33, to think that the tale of evolution in simple terms stops at Darwin is both stupid. Darwin had no be conscious of-how of DNA, no authentic understanding of abiogenesis, and so on... There are literally a lot of analyze after Darwin which confirms his regularly occurring findings. And almost no authentic scientist interior the right field who places the total idea uncertain.

The key component of Darwin's theory was Natural Selection, and this has been demonstrated to be true. Evolutionary theory has actually moved well beyond what Darwin realized, and is far more sophisticated and substantiated than when he came up with it.

But for the short answer, yes. It's demonstrated to be true. In fact, just this week it is being used to study the adapting of mosquitoes to the climate changes that are currently happening. By using this knowledge we can make better predictions about how animals are likely to adjust to the climate changes.

Darwin's original theory was right in many ways and wrong in many ways, based on a large number of guesses.

However, since his time, we humans, thousands of scientists, have found so much evidence of evolution that to say it doesn't happen is intellectual cowardice, a refusal to acknowledge truth.

In no way should realizing that evolution happens (via the theory of natural selection) affect your faith. Imagine if God had tried to explain all the science we know now, and science we don't even know yet, to Moses. Moses wouldn't have understood! So maybe God just told Moses a story that contained the truth, "God Created" in a way Moses could understand.

After all, isn't Jesus supposedly God, and didn't Jesus use parables, stories that revealed a deeper truth?

Have you seen bunnies giving birth to armadillos? NO. To survive they need armor against their predators. Natural selection would have you say yes. For evolution to be true it would have to. But, bunnies keep giving birth to bunnies.

Evolution has been digging in dirt for almost a century, trying to find a fish skeleton changing into a bird or some animal between the change from one form of life to another but only found dirt and bones that prove the Creation account of each kind of animal being made seperately.

When people came up with this hogwash, they had no idea how complicated life is especially on the microscopic level. Today they can manipulate DNA that already exists, but they can't create DNA even in the most advanced labs. Yet they persist in saying life began in a mud puddle! Does this make any sense to you?

We had to talk about it somewhat in my science class. My teacher used micro evolution of the peppered moth for "evidence" for evolution. I asked if anyone had observed macro evolution, and she said no, but gave the theories that it takes a long time for it to happen and one or two other ones. However, the lesson made me believe evolution LESS instead of more because we have never observed macro evolution.

There is lots of evidence against evolution. There is a very small chance of it happening. DNA is so complex that it would be miraculous if it happened by random chance. It contradicts some of the scientific laws such as the second law of thermodynamics which says that things break down and the universe will eventually die. But how can that be true if things supposively got better through evolution?

And there is evidence for a young earth. http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/faq/young.asp

If you are still learning pure Darwin your textbooks should be updated. In the modern synthesis we integrate Darwin's ideas about natural selection with Mendel's theories of genetics. This is also called neo-darwinism, and yeah, it is where it's at. The Genesis account does not stand, and to take it literally is to leave the land of rationality.
