I'm curious...I read on the printout from the pharmacy that one of the side effects of vicodin is "impairment or loss of heraing if taken for long periods". I've never heard of this....anyone heard of or know anyone this has happened to?

That is an extremely rare side effects. My professor said she has only heard of a handful of cases during her career of over 20 years.

Rush Limbaugh lost his hearing from taking huge amounts of vicodin. Eventually he had to have cochlear implants to somewhat restore his hearing. This is probably a very rare side effect since most addicts can not afford to access the huge amounts of pills Rush was able to purchase. Next he will probably need a liver transplant because of all the tylenol he ingested along with the vicodin.
