Inherited kermit the frog colored green leather sectional couch for new apartment with wood floors. how can we work with it? It's shaped like a boomerang. Should we use throw pillows? Paint the walls? Coffee table, rug? Or should we just toss it? If you give me an email address I can also forward a picture.

kermit the couch... id say get some nice assorted throw pillows that work around the color...add some off white pillows, offwhite mixed with that green color prints or just the opposite.. get a nice white rug if you dont mind white.... since its such a bold color for a couch id say make its surroundings very simple... itll make it pop in a good way. coffee table... a wooden one not too dark not too light .. try to keep it very med brown ,,or one that matches the color of the floors,.,. and try to go for a nature theme.. buy some nice plants for the room ,, i think that would be hot. Just keep a theme in mind and work around that. id hate to see a perfectly good leather couch go to waste. hope i helped ... good luck.... if you need more help and like my advise heres my email. id love to see the couch ...xtinehoover@yahoo.com

It actualy sounds pretty cool! You could do something mod such as use a very dark chocolate brown as the secondary color in the room. A good third color would be cream. I would get an area rug striped maybe with a few colors of green and cream. Throw pillos in dark chocolate brown and cream. A mod coffee table - maybe something kidney shaped - or round. Sounds cool!

If you don't want to keep it you could always try giving it to someone else. Try www.freecycle.org I am sure that there is probably a group in your area. You could give the couch to someone who would use it and maybe get yourself another couch from someone in the group. This group was set up with the main purpose of keeping stuff like this out of the landfills and helping people who could really use it.

Use a couch slip cover. These are also fairly simple to make. You can also place a few pillows on it and you've just changed your green couch into something worth sitting on. It's also a lot cheaper and quicker than painting.

There is a paint for every need, some that will stick to leather. If it were mine, I would trash it and sit on the floor.

try to go for beige and different shades of green cushions to cover the color of the couch

try to follow a shade of colors in the room.. like beige, green, brown, gold, bronze .. and find accessories (cushions, frames, table tops..etc) with the same colors. it will break the color of the couch

Try dye - personally, I think a green leather sofa with a wooden floor would look pretty cool...

If you don't like then get rid of it. If you can live with it then decorate around it. You could always have it reupholstered.

You can cover it with slipcovers or donate it on craigslist. That would be my suggestion.
