I'm doing a project on Emilio Gonzales.

read story here:

One of the questions is "Show what the Scripture says about this topic". I believe the topic is euthanasia, isn't it? If it's not, can someone tell me what I should be looking for. thanks

Not only Exodus 20.13, but also Gen. 1.26: we are made in the image of God. You do not destroy holy images so wantonly. Then there's Job, especially the prologue. It was sinful for his wife to say something like "Curse God and die!" Job's patience was that he endured even in such hopeless suffering.

If all life is sacred, to be endured, and commanded not to be destroyed, then euthanasia is a sin (and that's off the top of my head).

Deuteronomy 20:16 "Kill everything that breathes" 1 Samuel 15:2-4 "Slay both man & woman infant & suckling ox & sheep camel & donkey" Psalm 137:8-9 "The happiness of him that kills the children of Babylon" Hosea 13:16 "The people of Samaria must suffer the consequences, their pregnant women ripped open, their little ones dashed to the ground, unarmed men killed.." All very terrible & rarely quoted.

Well the Catechism of the Catholic Church states:

2324 Intentional euthanasia, whatever its forms or motives, is murder. It is gravely contrary to the dignity of the human person and to the respect due to the living God, his Creator.

2277 Whatever its motives and means, direct euthanasia consists in putting an end to the lives of handicapped, sick, or dying persons. It is morally unacceptable.

Thus an act or omission which, of itself or by intention, causes death in order to eliminate suffering constitutes a murder gravely contrary to the dignity of the human person and to the respect due to the living God, his Creator. The error of judgment into which one can fall in good faith does not change the nature of this murderous act, which must always be forbidden and excluded.

the whole book of Scripture says: Trust in the LORD. If you allow yourself to be put to sleep you are bypassing the immense power of GOD....... there is not enough space to write about it.
