I have come across websites that seem very factual. They explain the many similarities in the characteristics of Jesus and Horus. I have heard a lot of these things before, and I know they are true. I believe that Jesus never existed and that he was created as a part of a new religion, a religion which adopted almost everything about it from Paganism. And leave things from the Bible out, as I think the Bible is just a fairy tale book.

1. historical evidence of Horus? not much, but ask any historian if there was indeed a Jesus of Nazareth, and they would say yes.

2. Jesus' followers died gruesome deaths instead of denying what they saw. Instead of saying "there is no Jesus" they said things like "there would be nothing worse than denying my Lord" and then would be killed

3. Christianity didn't come from paganism, it came from Judasim.

4. last year for my history final, there was identification of world religions, there was Siddhara Guatma (founder of buddhism, Buddha), lao Tzu, confucious, martin luther, and lastly, Jesus of Nazareth.

Here is the thing.

Pretend for a moment that the Bilbe is real (keep hands and feet inside ride at all times thank you).

Now, if the Bible were true then the first prophecy of Jesus was made in Genesis, before the Tower of Babel when the ppl seperated. Now think about this, everyone has heard about God, they know about Jesus too and what He is to do. After the Tower of Babel, when the languages were mixed up, people would have seperated each knowing about Jesus right? Then some kept the true story going, and the others held to the same principle except distorted.(Horus). So if the Bible were indeed true, then one can easily see why Horus was talked about, it was a basic prophecy of Christ. That is my theory and I'll stick to it, until someone can show me otherwise.

You may return to (insert religion/atheism) now.

the Bible it self is the principal evidence that Jesus Christ is a real historical person. The record in the Gospels is not a vague narrative of events at some unspecified time and in an unnmaed location. It clearly states time and place in great detail.
For example see Luke 3:1, 2, 21-23

Most websites are hogwash. You've got to investigate the evidence on your own.

Jesus was factual. As a historian I can tell you the evidence for Jesus' existence is enough to declare it a fact. Those who deny Jesus have a blind agenda, don't understand historicity or have not examined the evidence close enough.

One can argue the existence of God or whether Jesus was God, sure...but an unbiased, informed debate about the historicity of Jesus Christ is unnecessary. It's fact.

Could be. Some historians believe that Christianity started as a Gnostic movement over discontent with Judaism. The Gnostic scriptures lack a historical context, making them highly mythical. Jesus could have been part of a Gnostic myth cycle, that was later put into a historical context to lend credibility. It makes more sense to add a historical context than it does to remove a historical context.

BTW: Just because people died for what they believed does not prove anything. The Gnostics were slaughtered into extinction, with the blessings of the Christian Church, because they refused to denounce their "heresy." If that is the ruler you use to measure truth, then that must mean that Gnosticism is the true religion. Right?

Jesus was a total myth. There is no evidence of him ever existing outside the bible. No Christian can deny this fact. Outside the bible there is no EYEWITNESS account of this guy ever living or doing the things claimed in the bible. Just second and third hand stories. Again, any Xian who tells you different is out and out lying. No evidence of Moses, Noah, Mary etc.... not a shred of evidence.

Jesus isn't a myth. Otherwise, people wouldn't worry about Him so much. He wouldn't bother people so much if He was a myth. There's plenty of people that devote their lives to what you're saying. I know people, including myself, that if you could hear the testimonies and seen the things I've seen & experienced what we've experienced, we could prove you and the other people wrong a million times over. Just because you've never met somebody or they've not done what you want them to do doesn't mean that they don't exist.

Even scientists have gathered a little evidence of Jesus! And he's mentioned in other holy books. How do we not know that 'Horus' isn't just another name for Jesus?

"For God so loved the world that he begot his only son, for whosever believeith in him shall not die, but have eternal life."
John 3:16

Why wouldn't you want to worship a man so brave that he gave his life for you? I'm not pushing, I'm just saying. The choice is yours. I for one, have made mine, I have gathered enough evidence, and have even got signs from God. What will you do? WWJD?

Don't worry though. You're not going to Hell. Hell is only meant for the sinners who will taKE the mark of the beast, since Hell's only mentioned in Revelations, along with Judgement Day. Hopefully, though, Judgement Day will happen in our lifetime, because then, you'd have to be dumb to deny his existence.

It says somewhere in Thessalonians "The dead are sleeping"
So, you won't get your gift, but you won't get your punishment either.

God Bless.

there's actually similarities with a lot more gods: start at
http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_jcpa1.htm - this page also has common christian answers - like "satan predicted jesus and planted these stories earlier to deceive us" (of course, god created satan knowing full well satan would do that - so what kind of game is he playing?)

books are not created in a vacuum - authors are influenced by earlier stories.

no, Jesus is REAL and is ALIVE. If Jesus was fake, why would the apostles become martyrs for something they knew was a life? WHy would these men drastically changed their lives for spreading the gospel, in the end 11 of the 12 were killed for Jesus Christ, they witnessed Jesus' miralces and they were willing to die to spread the good news.
