Jack Russells can be from 15 to 20 pounds, give or take. But don't go by weight, especially if your dog is a mixed breed. As long as your dog is healthy and looks physically fit, then don't be too worried.
For example, when I was young, my family had a papillion. This breed is small, and most papillions weigh between 7 and 12 pounds (just an estimate) but our papillion was 18 pounds! He was not at all fat, in fact he was perfectly fit and very healthy. He simply grew bigger than normal!
The same thing can happen the other way. A pup could just be smaller than average!
So as long as your dog is fit and happy and getting enough excersise, don't worry about a thing!
Hope this helps!
Good luck!

there are different shapes of jack russells. If yours is like "wishbone" the short and sturdy kind he should weigh about 18 to 20. But if he's a bit tall and slim I say 15 to 18.

Mine is about 15 pounds...pretty much all muscle. They can be a little less or more than than that though. It also depends it you have a short legged one or Parson.

They should be in good shape. With all the energy they have, it is not a difficult breed to keep healthy and fit.
