one that sounds more grown up...is there one?
im thinking of it but im only 12 should i? me and my friend carly want to go and get it done this weekend....does it hurt ALOT?

It's called a naval ring...I think you're still a little too young for one and yes all piercings hurt no matter what anybody says...it just depends on your pain tolerance which is different for everybody.

BodyPiercing I belive is that term you are looking for. By the way why do you want to grow up so fast didn't you see the movie BIG and 13 GOING ON 30......They were 12 and 13 respectivly and once they go a taste of adult hood they missed being a kid. I was 12 once apon a time and belive me you should enjoy your youth while you can. All your friends are the same age as you so your friends can bond with you. Doing things just to look grown up well all I can say is Been There Done That.......My advise is wait until you are 18 and if still want to get it done and you are not afraid of a serious infection.........SERIOUS INFECTION.......then go ahead and get it done. You want to look grown up get a ankle braclet that would look better instead and you wouldn't run the risk of a SERIOUS INFECTION......I guess I've made my point haven't I. Know your parents would agree with me especially sice I am old enough to have kids in college and I bet I'm atleast close to your parents age as well(I'm 46)so listen to them.

navel piercing, navel ring, belly ring, belly button ring, belly button piercing... all of those are names that it is called. I had it done 8 years ago, and it hurt for a little while, but it didn't hurt that much, just make sure you wear low rise pants/shorts that won't hit the ring right after you get it done. Also make sure you take very good care of it after you get it. Infection in the navel ring is painful.

My only thought is that you should have slim tummy area if you decide to pierce your belly.:) For me, it's a nice detail, but nothing more. If you are old enough, why not? Belly button piercing can't make you look tarty, if you overall appearance isn't tarty, provocative etc.

I got my belly button pierced when I was fourteen I passed out and Puked while I was gettting it done, got a horrible infection about three months later, My friend who also had hers pierced just had a baby and the hole from the belly ring looks awfull and caused a huge stretch mark...It's not that great.

it`s also called a navel piercing...it doesn`t hurt, but it is a bit difficult to care for because of the location...i have 14 piercings at the moment, & had my navel done on 4 separate occasions & it was never good...1st time, the guy did it crooked, so i took it out...2nd time the guy did it too close to the surface of the skin & it ripped out...3rd time, my body started rejecting it, so i took it out...4th time, the guy pierced deeper, under my scar tissue, but my body still rejected it, so i took it out...i luv the look of that piercing, but obviously i can`t do it...so i`m piercing other body parts...i would recommend getting it done with a barbell instead of ring, because the ring sticks out farther & has a tendency to rub against clothing, get caught on your clothing, etc...& follow all after-care procedures to ensure that it doesn`t get infected!!! i did, & i still had problems, but u can lessen the risk of problems by taking care of it diligently!!!

Navel piercing, yes it does hurt . .i have had my tongue . .belly done four time . .keep taking it out .. .ears and nose done and it hurts the most . .but it is only for a split second . .maybe you should wait a while you are still quite young . .and no where will do it without the permission of your parents

navel peircing. I wouldn't do it. I know right now it sounds really, really cool. But seriously, when you get older (I'm 23) it gets more and more lame. I don't know many girls who don't have it done. I mean, do you really want to be just like everyone else? Go get a tribal design tatoo on your lower back while you're at it, if you want to be like everyone else. I don't know, I'm just glad I didn't do it... Plus, I heard, if you ever have a baby, that hole gets all stretched out and looks yucky. Just something to think about.

the piercing itself doesnt hurt. i think the part that hurts the worst is the clamp and that isnt that bad at all. you just have to keep it cleaned like the person that pierces says to do, so you dont get infection in it. i got mine done at 16 and i have no regrets on getting it.. since your just 12, you would have to have your mom sign for it for you or a guardian...but its up to you, as long as you dont dress all hoochie with it in then i dont think it would be that bad for you to get one.
