I have the EXACT same skin type!!!!! I use Clean and clear its in a purple squeeze bottle IT WORKS!!!!! My mom was tired of me having acne and I went on vacation for about a week and she told me if I didn't have any acne when I came back I would be able to get a second piercing in my ear.... anyways I came back and NO ACNE its really works and it is only 6-8 dollars <<< for what your getting its very good. The only problem with it is it may start TO REALLY dry your face out so put a dime size amount of lotion on and it will be ALL GOOD!!!! Good Luck!

exfoliate with St. Ive's apricot scrub(medicated). This will clear off all the dead skin and oils.
Next dab a bit of toothpaste on your acne. This will dry it up...but dont leave it on more than overnight.
Next morning, wash it off and wash your face with a gentle cleanser(Clearasil and Biore make great foaming cleansers)....
Then use a mattifying or an oil free face cream. This will keep your face moisturized, but wont clog pores.

Do this 2 times a day for a week, and it will help. I have the same problems and its usually stress induced.

If ya really want to splurge. Go to a salon and have a professional facial. The person will recommend products to you and give you samples to take home and use. Its well worth the money, and your face will thank you.

Good luck!!!

For oily skin...Use water-based cleansers, the foamy kind. Get cleansers for combination/ oily skin types. Don't go straight for the oily skin type face wash. You may be stripping your barrier layer of skin from having any oil. Also, use a water-based moisturizer w/ SPF 15. You will know when the moisturizer is very light and not thick. Even though you have oily skin, moisturize, if you don't your skin will over produce oil to make up for lack of moisture, also use a toner after you wash your face. Since you have oily skin you must exfoliate your skin more. If you have pustule skin " white heads do not pick, if you do don't go from one zit to another without washing your hands inbetween. Your only spreading bacteria causing more breakouts. Use a new cotton round w/ toner and blot each one. Then, with Blackheads that is a different story you can go from one to another. Make sure you wash your face afterwards.Using a toner will also make up to go on smoother. With your oily skin type your make-up may also be the issue. Check to see whats in your make-up. Use new foundation sponges all the time. Don't let anyone else use your make up. Change all your products every 2 months, it may be pricey, but I'm sure you'll notice a difference. Sun, is also key to having clear skin.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Here's what I know works,as a person who has suffered from annoying acne for years,I have tried everything including what my dermatologist gave me and it didn't work, here's what I know works.
Evening Primrose oil capsules 2000mg a day to balance your hormones which is one of the main causes of acne. I recommend the "seven seas" brand.

Do you own a juicer? get one. Drink 4ounces of freshly juiced carrot juice everyday or buy a good brand of canned or bottled juice not the ones with the sugar added. Thats why its better to juice it yourself you know its fresh and 100%.The Vitamin A in carrot juice is massive it destroys acne. Keep in mind that Vit A is the main incredient in some major topical acne product like Retin A taking it internally from carrot juice is better and way cheaper. The juice takes about a month to kick in.

Take a multivitamin daily. Important for overall health and skin.

Buy some baking soda, mix with tiny drops of water to make a paste, apply to face do not rub hard. Do this everyday. The baking soda may bring pimples to the surface that were underneath, so it might appear the acne is getting worse but persevere and you will see results in a month.

Drink lots of water.

I had terrible acne I tried everything and I mean everything, my doctor did too, nothing worked but this, now five months later people keep complimenting me on my skin asking me how I got it so smooth and clean. Try it. Good luck.

You're working from the outside in. It's not working. Maybe it's now time to try working from the inside out instead.

Seriously, the following book helped me decades ago. I changed my eating habits and the flare-ups diminished from on-going to monthly and now I only have problems if I'm ill from something else. For some folk, it's a matter of eating differently.
Acne Can Be Cured by Gustave H Hoehn

The book's old, but it's still in print and available online and at many public libraries.

Good luck in finding what's causing the pores to clog.

Try exfoliating every few days with baking soda- I know it sounds weird but it helps to clear up your skin because it is PH balanced. One of the causes of acne is out of balance PH.
You can also get a spray bottle, get purified water & a small amount of baking soda in the water to use as a toner after cleansing.
Cleanse twice- first time removes dirt & make-up, second time goes deeper into pores to really cleanse. Cetaphyl is a great gentle cleanser.

Proactiv does more harm than good! It causes premature wrinkles!

I know Proactiv is recommended a lot. But I have had many clients that come to me looking for something else. Because it stops working or isn't enough or is too expensive.

So here is another option to get you started...

All Clear for acne prone skin....and if that is too much try
Skinlogics for those that have the occasional blemish

After you have that under control...I'd have more tips for you.

Hope that helps!

Try the starter kit of Proactiv. You can buy it online or some malls have a booth. It's worked the best for my daughter who has acne problems. Also, a good diet helps rid the problem. Try and stay away from sodas and fatty foods. Water's great for the skin. Good luck!

I suggest you to go for natural one; others definitely have side effects. A good face pack of neem leaves with a pinch of turmeric is also very good for acne prone skin. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
