lets say you live with someone who smokes on a regular basis, and are subject to second hand smoke on a daily basis, is that going to show up in your drug test?

Yup. The active (tested) ingredient tetrahydracannabinol in marijuana has already been absorbed into the lipophilic portions of the smoker's body. Therefore, you can pass a test for THC.

You might have to tell the person taking the test that your parents (or whoever you are around that gives you second-hand smoke) smokes. If you smoke then it will most definatly come up on the test, however if someone around you is smoking cigarettes (from what other people tell me that marijuana will show up on one of these tests, so this won't apply to marijuana) it will not come up on the test.

If that person smokes cigarettes, then you don't have anything to worry about. However if they're smoking anything else that's considered as illicit, then there's a very good chance that a drug test will show the person inhaling the smoke as having it in their system. Depending on how much smoke is inhaled will dictate the levels detected.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it, unless you have a clam-bake of course.
