No I haven't but that is a GREAT idea. Maybe cut up some small pieces that people can fill out. Or do it at your bridal shower if you haven't had one already.

I was planning on doing something similar for my wedding. Except, I'm doing a whole scrapbook. Its going to have pictures from our engagement in it and I'm going to leave blank spaces on each page for guests to write comments and well wishes. I thought a whole scrapbook would work better because a guestbook has more than one page, so one page might not be enough space for everyone to write something nice. I wasn't planning on it being really a guest book though, just something to have as a keepsake. I plan on using an album in my wedding colors (red and white) and displaying the book on a table as guests enter the reception area. I'm going to have a regular guest book at the ceremony though, because sometimes not everyone goes to both the ceremony and the reception. The one page is a good idea if you are having a smaller number of guests, because there will still be room for everyone to sign. Just make sure the page has enough blank space, sometimes scrapbook pages get a little crowded with all the embelishments and ribbon, etc. Good luck and have fun. I know I'm looking at this as a stress reliever from wedding planning!

I think it's a great idea!! I've seen it done, too.
Another good idea would be to get a coffee table book, possibly centered around the location of the ceremony, the honeymoon, or where the bride and groom live. I had a friend who got married in New Orleans a few months ago who did that, and it was SO cute to see who would sign what page and where. A very popular thing these days is to have a photo of the bride and groom matted in a large white (or light-colored) frame, and the guests sign it. It's something great to display in the house.
Any of these are great ideas!! Best of luck and CONGRATS!!

We did that at my sisters reception. When you walked in the door you took a picture with the bride and groom, (it wasn't a very big crowd) and it was the type of camera where the picture comes right out, and then you take your picture and a piece of colored paper to write down advice or comments. Then when everyone is seated you have the people come and put the picture and their comment in the scrapbook, (it will take a couple of pages) and when it is done you have a really cool wedding present to give to the bride and groom!

A scrapbook page would be neat. What we did was buy a picture frame mat and had people sign that and we have one of our engagement pictures in it! I LOVE IT!!!! I look at it everyday and think about all the people that were there to support us. I don't so much like the idea of a book or something that gets tucked away because how often will you pull it out and look at it???? Looking at the picture is a constant reminder of all of those that love us!!!

That's a very good idea, I've also heard of having each guest make their own scrapbook page to bring along to the wedding, I don't know if you feel that would be too much but my friend did so and she loved it and loves looking at it now cuz you really get to see each persons personality show

Yes one of my friends did that. They bought Poloroid cameras and took pictures of each family/couple at the wedding. Then they stuck the picture to the book and you signed next to it. As the picture took up a lot of lines, on the other side you had lots of room to write a few lil words.
I think it was a called wedding "scrapbook" instead of an actual "guest book"
Also what I had at the rehearsal dinner--My MIL cut up lil scraps of paper. I had a luau so it looked like tropical wallpaper. She cut it up with those funky scissors into lots of random sized scraps and had people write lil words of wisdom, advice, wishes--and my husband and I went through them all when we got back from the honeymoon.

I think thats a great idea! But you may need several pages. Or, you can set out squares of paper in your wedding colors that people can write on. After the wedding, you can paste them into your scrapbook.

Thats a wonderful idea! You can pick up a lot of things from AC Moore or Michaels if you have one close by to you.
What I did for the fun was I left postcards on the tables with our address and postage and asked everyone to send us the postcards either from the hotel or when they got back home and put that in our scrapbooks. (We had a destination wedding -- so it was fun to read what they did all week besides the wedding).

I did that and it turned out really good. It also cost a lot less than getting a guest book. You can go to Micheals.com and get some page ideas. It makes it more personal that have just a guest book.
