is there anyway to see through the stuff they use on scratch off tickets just wondering?

No, there's not. Think about it - that silver, waxy stuff has been being used for decades; if it had any obvious flaws (like allowing those in the know to read through it and purchase only winning tickets), it would have been replaced years ago.

Yes and no.

When you cash one in, they don't look at the ticket, they scan the ticket number. It wouldn't matter if it were scratched off or not, they read the serial number to know if you win a prize.

If there were, someone would have found it by now, and the company that makes the tickets would have improved the quality of the tickets so it couldn't be done, anymore.
