The answer is minimum 0%, maximum 100%.

(1) Because tithing was part of the Law of Moses in Old Testament, as Christian, you are released from the law. No words in New Testament asks Christians to give tithe.

Roman 7:4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.
Roman 7:6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

(2) As Christian, we should give out of the love of Christ in our heart. This includes not only donations to churches, but also donations to charities, the poor, and the needy. If you feel happy about 100%, give 100%..

2 Corinthians: 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

(3) If you still want to do tithe following the Law of Moses, you might give 10% of your food expense to churches. charities, the poor and the needy.

The fundamental definition of tithe in Old Testament is:
Leviticus 27:30 A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD. 31 Whoever would redeem any of their tithe must add a fifth of the value to it. 32 Every tithe of the herd and flock—every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd’s rod—will be holy to the LORD. 33 No one may pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution. If anyone does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute become holy and cannot be redeemed.

Just remind: the tithe mentioned in the curse in Malachi 3:8-11 is based on this tithe definition (one tenth of food product from or on the field), not based on the definition given by some churches: one tenth of your gross income.

And you should give your tithes in this way:
Deuteronomy 22 Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. 23 Eat the tithe of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the LORD your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the LORD your God always....
28 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns, 29 so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in
your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

(4) Anyone saying Christians should give tithe of their gross income to churches is based on his own desire, not on the Scripture, not even close.

Tithe means 10%. This was a standard set in the Old Testament. New Testament Christians do not have such a rule. We give out of our increase. We give as we feel led, there is no set amount. Some give nothing because they are extremely poor. Others who are extremely blessed give as much as 90% (few). Most give around 10% with occasional higher offerings during special times. Some make special gifts to missions besides their regular tithe, or they may donate to a building fund. You regular tithe is what operates your local church-without it the church would stop. Most Christian churches do not have any source of income-they are not a commercial business. They rely on the membership to tithe.
When churches generate money be selling things, or lotteries or bingo, or when they stand on the side of the road and beg for money-they are outside the will of God. This is a sinful practice.

10% of your increase. You decide what "increase" means. Some say gross income, some net income, some even say 10% of what they have left after paying their bills. Personally I see blessings directly tied to it and would rather have more blessings than fewer blessings so I tithe on my gross income.

Also, the word "tithe" means 10%.
See scripture below concerning tithing. It's Malachi 3:8-12 specifically concerns tithing.

Tithing is 10%. The root of the word means 1/10th. See Malachi chapter 3 for the commandment.

Hi there.

I consistently tithe. Every time I get a paycheck, a tenth is immediately given to God.

Mal. 3:8-11 - Will a man rob God? Ye have robbed me in tithes and offerings. Bring all the tithes to the storehouse. Prove me, said God.

Lev. 27:32 A tithe equals a tenth.

10 % of your "increase."

I give tithes of all that I possess. (Luke 18:12)
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. (Malachi 3:8)
Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe. (Numbers 18:26)

As much as possible. There is no compulsion in NT for tithing but we must support the work of the Lord with generous heart.

Giving to God
It was once said that the wallet is the "last frontier"-- that it’s the last thing that comes to God in surrender. But it should be the first, along with our surrendered heart. Jesus spoke much about money. He said that we cannot serve God and mammon (see Matthew 6:24). The word "mammon" was the common Aramaic word for riches and it signifies "that which is to be trusted." In other words, either money is our source of joy, our sense of security, the supplier of our needs -- or God is.

When you give, make sure you do so with a cheerful heart. Our giving should be a systematic and purposeful giving to the church where we fellowship (see 2 Corinthians 9:7). It should be in response to need (see Acts 11: 27-29). It should be sacrificial (see Galatians 2:10), and should be done in secret with a humble heart (see Matthew 6:1-4). It is a key to spiritual fruit (see Luke 16:10-11).

tithing is an old testament concept. the new testament nowhere assigns a certain percentage of income to set aside, but only says it is to be “in keeping with his income”..the christian church has essentially taken the 10% figure from the old testament tithe and applied it as a “recommended minimum” for christians in their giving.

they should give as they are able, “in keeping with his income.” sometimes that means giving more than a tithe, sometime that may mean giving less than a tithe. it all depends on the ability of the christian and the needs of the church.
