I will be having a surgery next week on my head, and my hair will be shaved on the top front. I need a hair style that I can deal with and not be embarresed to go out. My hair is long and medium brown now. Should I cut it short before the surgery?

Depends on the exact location of the incision. I had brain surgery in 1992; they shaved a fifth of my head. I had chemo for breast cancer in '04, and lost all my hair - I am the queen of hair replacement!
If the scar is behind your hairline, you can camoflauge the bald spot with your bangs and a creative part in your remaining hair.
You can always go to your hairdresser later to cut it off - and she/he will be able to help you disguise the damage most effectively.

I always said if for some medical reason i would not have hair for a while, I would go before hand and cut it short then do one of those cute little mohawks - you know the really short ones, maybe do some blonde in it as well. I would want something really fun that I would not normally do.

If I were you, I'd cut it all short and wear a wig until it was long enough to have a cute pixie cut. Otherwise it sounds like you'll have a mullet. I had cancer and had to shave my head because I had chemo. Wearing a wig isnt that bad. There are some really pretty ones.

yup you hould get those round wigs that go on top of ur head and cut ur hair kinda short
get the same color as ur hair
ur hair would be pretty in a short hair style
so what kind of surgery is it?
Good Luck:)
