I've got over a thousand men/women in the service who will walk/hold signs with me. Some will wear their military uniforms with their hats on backwards and shirts unbuttoned to protest the illegal war in Iraq. I, as a former military man, will wear my old uniform and I will have a sign painted on my back to let all know I'm ashamed of the USA Government. I will salute with my left hand and say "I'm sorry the USA is bringing shame to the USA people in the eyes of the world"....Then I will assume the thousand yard stare due to the disbelief the USA is once again making a terrible mistake like Vietnam. ( By the way...Over 104 American men were killed in Iraq in the month of April ) Note: For nothing.

As replies indicate so far, most people have a loyalty NOT to our Christian code of morals and ethics but rather to the myths of patriotism and country not un-like the Germans in WW11.

While on the one hand most profess belief in Christ and His teachings, these monumental hypocrites will kill/torture/war ,slaughter, carpet bomb anyone anywhere as long as the military and President tell them to for GOD and COUNTRY.These pathetic lemmings just throw out their moral beliefs even when their loved ones in the military are being slaughtered in an illegal war BASED on a pack of lies involving the torture and killing of many prisoners.

Please tell me,what is the difference between what these soldiers are doing and those of the Third Reich ???????

That they are fighting and dying for DEMOCRACY and FREEDOM is pure garbage. They are dying simply for "US INTERESTS" which simply means oil and profits.

Remember it was the US who despicably DESTROYED the Iranian democracy in 1953 ALL BECAUSE OF OIL and put in place their ruthless, murdering puppet, the Shah of Iran.
If my child died for an illegal war over OIL all based on LIES
,I would go looking for "bear" .

Again to cite a famous line:

"THE LAST REFUGE OF A SCOUNDREL IS PATRIOTISM "

It is no happenchance that the two pushers of this lie based illegal war Bush and Cheney are effectively draft dodgers themselves .

At last, only now are ex (and current) military speaking out against this crime against humanity called Bush's "SHOCK AND AWE" War.

When you're rotting in hell, send me a letter.

We owe it to the people of Iraq to fix what we screwed up. Yes, we f'd up their country. Now we need to fix it.

If we don't, we will see terrorism like never before. 9/11 would be nothing compared to what we face. People in the middle east would be more angry than they already are.

I mean seriously, how would you feel if someone came in your town. Demolished it and let criminals run free then say

"whoops, your problem now. CYA!"

THAT is what you are doing to the Iraqi people. Iraqi people are not animals. Although barbaric to western eyes in some aspects, they have a rich culture. Without them we would have no internet. We wouldn't have hardly anything. They invented MATH for Christ's sake.

8938302
You see that? Those numbers? They are in Arabic writing.

My point of all this is that these people are not just some trash that lived in jungles. They are a sophisticated people who have been smashed time and time again. We need to stay and help them become people again and not the animals most of the world sees them as.

The politicians realize this. SOLDIERS KNOW THIS! Anyone can get an old uniform. I bet half the people in uniform will have outdated Fatigues and Cammo, not the new digital stuff today. So, wearing them is pointless. Because it will be obvious none have served since the start of the war.
(ACUs came into full swing to all deploying units 2yrs ago)

So go waste your time. Protest this war. It won't do anything.

Personally I think morons march and intelligent people write! I get tired of hearing and seeing protestors... and I think America does also. You're going to do the big "thousand man march" eh? You'll fall short just like the AA's did in DC a few years back.

I believe war is a last resort... just like any other sort of violence. BUT... they came into my house and started this whole thing and I think we should be the ones to finish it! This war isn't just about us... it's about liberating a country that didn't have the means to do it on their own. You just sound like a typical self-centered jerk that cares nothing about the world outside your own narrow sightedness. You sound more upset that gas prices are high rather than really wanting our soldiers/sailors home. Perhaps one day you'll see past the nose on your face... I did... and re-enlisted to go!

AND ndgbill can thank the military he doesn't speak German right now... as we all know he doesn't have the balls to stand up for what's right! You sound like one of those yuppies that sit around a coffee house and discusses how deep you think you are... Liberals... sheesh!!!

Dude, I have a lot of respect for vietnam vets, but I don't think you can get a thousand of them to March. Sorry, the 60's and 70's are over man. No more love in's, no more country joe and the fish (thank God for that one.) I don't like this war either, but I am not going to protest by marching on the government, I am going to do it with my vote. If you pull all of those soldiers out of Iraq now, within the month terrorists bombs will be blowing up all things American throughout the world. It's their brave sacrifice that holds that at bay now. Since you are prior service, I hope it was army so you understand my next phrase to you: get your head out of your 4th point of contact airborne.

While I may not agree with the war I find it disgusting that you would find active duty men and women to march in a protest. I do believe that they can be prosecuted for this and they should be. It is not a part of there duty to protest the government it is there duty to do what the POTUS asks of them. If they disagree with what they are told to do there are proper ways to go about it. By the way I agree that this war is terrible and I think we should be bringing the guys home NOW! The uniform should never be used as a political tool...just like Support eh Troops should never be used for political means!

Ahhh the circus is back in town. Try wearing a suit and tie and people might take you seriously. When I see other vets wearing a mishmash of BDU's, berets and Indian feathers I think what a bunch of dregs! A vet wearing his uniform defaced with paint is not going to make me sympathetic.

Remember when you march YOU DON'T REPRESENT me.

Y E S, US Military Personnel are NOT authorized to wear their uniforms in any of these anti-American protests and they will be subject to the
UCMJ and dishonorable discharges.

yeah sure. i doubt it. it is a volunteer army. get a life. by the way, most service people are aware that to march against the military, especially in uniform, is a violation of the UCMJ. I doubt you know what that stands for, but they do.

Wow, you are tripping!! First of all active duty men/women cannot protest the war, they will serve prison time as well as dishonerable discharges and you could maybe get it for impersonating?

Sure you have 'over a thousand servicemen.' Is this going to be like the majority who turn out to be people who there is no record of them ever serving?

Yes, I get great pleasure from outing fake vets.
