A religious belief gives you an idea of how life should be, the same as any ethos. Only a Nihilist can claim to have no ethos by the way.

Once you have an ethos, you develop an agenda to carry it out.

That's life. Pick a side and defend it.

Marxist, Fascist, Anarchist, Representative Democracy fan,
Buddhist, Hindu, Shintoist, whatever it takes.

It's how it works.

Want my advice? Read GOD BLESS YOU MR. ROSEWATER twice, then adopt it as your ethical model. Do that and you'll be a better "Christian" than 99% of people who claim to be one.

When the aim goes past simple belief. I come from a christian family but am an agnostic. Most of my relatives believe but don't let if affect things like politics; in fact they are disgusted at how much religion has infiltrated government.

Once it has the aim to control others actions on a social level it has become an agenda.

This was done so that churches could dictate religious behavior throughout the western world.
