We just painted the kids room w/ water based paint. The walls are slightly textured. From what I've read, I may need to sandpaper the areas where the wallpaper border will be placed over. Is this true? Also, I'd like to have the wallpaper pattern not break around the corner of a wall. Do I have to cut at the corners or can I just press it into the corner with a straight tool and continue to the other wall (it's only a short run on the 2nd wall as it will come against the side of a window). Thanks!

It will stick better if you just rough up the wall a little with 100 grit sandpaper. Unless you have perfectly square corners AND where ceiling and the wall meet I would overlap by about 1/16" Put it up dry and see how it looks first.

If you don't want to do the work, forget it. Wallpaper borders look REALLY tacky.
