Along the lines of free will, do we choose to have a life here on earth? Or do we not make that decision? That seems like the most important free will choice we could ever make. Do we get the chance to make it, or does God decide that for us?

It seems like a pretty blatant violation of free will if we don't get to make that choice. If we do, then are we alive before we are physically born? How does that work?

That is, if you believe in those things (God, free will, spirit, etc.)

Thoughts?

I had absolutely no choice in coming to live here on earth, that was my mom and dad's decision. I do, however, decide how I live while on this earth. (Of course, I guess you are right in the aspect that I did decide when it was time to leave the womb.)

The FREE WILL starts ONCE we are CONCEIVED.
This is a question that will keep one chasing their tail, it takes knowledge in Christ, by the Holy Spirit.....to know that GOD is the FATHER of all of us....perhaps we did exist in spirit before we came to earth? IDK for sure....perhaps when the Lord made reference to "knowing us before we were formed in our mothers' womb"...He was only alluding to the fact that HE is not bound by Time....HE is ETERNAL. So, HE knows what each of our outcomes will be....all I know..IS THAT GOD IS REAL, He has shown me many manifestations of HIS GOOD AND PERFECT WILL..He does not ever violate our FREE WILL....so I FIRMLY BELIEVE that HE CANNOT LIE.,...so we must not have a choice in the matter of
"To exist or NOT".

My thoughts...
God Bless YOU

considering you truthfully look to no longer be a troll, ill point with you. you won't be able to convince different religious those with out using logical fallacies. in case you utilize logical falalcies, you will in no way convince all people who isn't already confident by using them. What you're doing is Begging the question, or, Assuming the preliminary element. to confirm that any of what you mentioned to be genuine, we would desire to have souls and there might desire to be a place they descend from. yet you haven't any longer well-known any of those to be genuine. no longer basically that for the time of spite of the undeniable fact that it would might desire to confirm a very good narrative that concurrently undoes the best narratives already in place. precise now, its as significant as asserting "What if all of us started making warm canines out of corned crimson meat?"

We make choices based on the extent to which we can make them.....so whatever lies outside this frame cannot be considered a choice.

our ancestors seeded this planet many thousands of years past and will come back to see if their experiment worked. Let us hope they aren't growing us for their food.
