Personally if your a guy and you have a tattoo under your belly button, it would be a bit homosexual-ish. But thats just my two cents. But for a girl I think it is a nice place to put something. The best tattoo to get is up to the person.

for a guy? I really do not think under the belly button is a good place for a tattoo for a guy. Girls get it done there all the time, but its not very masculine.

Hopefully something that's meaning full to you. I have one on my lower abs as well, and I got it for a specific reason. Only suggestion is don't get fat after wards, it'll stretch the tattoo out. And don't worry about the pain, depending on how big you want it, it shouldn't hurt to bad. Of course tattoos hurt, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Mine goes out to my hip bones, that's where it hurt the most, but it was nothing terrible.
(Edit) And it being homo-ish? Not really, alot of the girls that I know, and those that notice mine, and ask to see it all think it's attractive.

i once saw this ripped south american dude with a pepper/jalepeno tattoo on his lower abs, right parallel to the sex lines and i thought that was pretty cool. His reason was that he actually worked as a kid on a pepper farm and it was like the darkest times of his life and stuff so there was adequate reason.

You could get the words "I'm a ****"....because no matter what you get there, that's what people are going to think. There are a ton of better places for a dude to get a tat man.... And even for women I don't think it is that good of a place.... Try the ribs, I hear that feels good.
