You'll get custody and she'll most likely have to pay back pay on child support when she gets out. also, try and get full custody, your daughter needs a stable parent. I sorry that you and you little girl are having to go threw this.

First of all, get custody. That way you won't have to pay it at all. If you do not chose to do that, however, you need to call your caseworker. You will be the one taking care of the child for 4 months, so there is no reason that child support should be going to the mother during that time. I'm sure they will agree. Good luck.

Even while in jail, mom's expenses to maintain a home for your child continue (rent, electric, gas, phone, insurance, etc.), so I'm pretty sure you'd have to keep on paying. You might be able to get the amount reduced, though - especially if the child is living with you exclusively during that time.

Talk to a lawyer.

probably not if you are going to be keeping her but you better get the okay from the court before you don't pay, i think you should try to get sole custody, sounds like the mom might have a few problems

if you file for custody you can sue her for child support while she is in jail.If you don't plan on doing that and her parents are going to take care of your daughter then you will still have to pay. Good luck to you and your daughter!

Depending on what she is going to jail for, I would go for custody.
