Conservative Christians are criticizing a plan by Public Broadcasting Service stations to begin showing later this week a three-part television documentary series on atheism, calling it "demagogic and propagandistic."

"This series is about the disappearance of something: religious faith," British producer and narrator Jonathan Miller says at the start of "A Brief History of Disbelief," which was originally shown by the BBC in 2005. "It's the story of what is often referred to as atheism, the history of the growing conviction that God doesn't exist."

I'm just thrilled that this provides the Christian majority another opportunity to whine about their victimization.

The funniest comment was the one fellow demanding PBS run propaganda for Christianity, which my PBS station does constantly throughout the year with specials on Biblical topics and faith. Their series on Mormons starts tonight locally.

What a good idea, and about time! Yes, absolutely, though I'm generally not a PBS fan. I had no idea about it, either.

Those Crosswalk people are whining for no good reason. They have *channels* full of people who agree with them! Why not a few hours on atheism? Even on PBS, they have a series on Religion and Ethics every week.

It's just a documentary. There are plenty of documentaries on Hitler that no one seems to have a problem with. Almost every night there is something on the Bible. Why on earth would someone have a problem with a documentary on atheism?

I will if it's on at a reasonable time. The ones about Islam went until 11 every day for a week. I CANT STAY UP THAT LATE EVERY NIGHT!! If it's on earlier I will.

Who the hell made conservative Christians the judge about what should be allowed on TV?

Oh, wait, that would be the scared children at the FCC.

PBS IS A SCIENTIFIC ORIENTED CHANNEL...
SO ANYTHING ATHEIST BEING SHOWN IN PBS IS ''JUST AT HOME''...SINCE RELIGION IS AN ''ANTI-SCIENCE''...
I WAS WATCHING THAT THE OTHER NIGHT...BUT I MISSED THE FIRST PART...I STARTED WATCHING PART 2 AND IT WAS 12:00 AM...I WAS FAST ASLEEP BY THE START OF PART 3 BUT I REALLY WANTED TO SEE THAT......

Do you know when it is going to be on? I would love to watch it.

There is nothing like hearing an opposing point of view.
