I already erased it in my recycle bin. How can I restore it?

Hi, right click the icon you want on your desktop wherever it is currently located (eg in your My Documents) and then choose Send To > Desktop (Create Shortcut) this will immediately copy an icon to your desktop of the program/ file without moving the existing one.

Another way is to "drag and drop" icons from their current place to the desktop.

Do you mean your My Computer shortcut on your desktop?

you could try going to Display Properties, Desktop, Customize Desktop, Make sure My Computer is checked. Or restore defaults

Which icon was it? You can't get it back from the recycle bin. Once you tell me which program it was, you can recreate the shortcut.

Find the program or file and right click on it. You will be able to send it to desktop.
