where can i find out china's auto emissions standards (in english) versus u.s. or california?

both current standards (new cars and trucks) and existing auto/truck population would be desireable for better understanding and comparisons. thanks in advance.

I did see a program on PBS about cars in China that said the environmental standards they have to meet are not nearly as tough as U.S. or European standards. But that is all I know at this point.
