Traditionally, the engagement ring is worn on the right hand (3rd finger) until the wedding ring is put in place; after the ceremony, the engagement ring is then transferred back to the left hand on top of the wedding band.
While you COULD have your husband put both rings on, it might just be easier for him to deal with one ring, unless your wedding band is an engagement ring cradle/wrap. He may be nervous enough to end up dropping one or both rings (embarrassing!!) if he's fussing with both at the same time. Safer to just do it the traditional way.
Best wishes!

Before the ceremony you'll wear your engagement ring on your ring finger on your right hand. At some point, after your husband has placed the wedding band on your ring finger on your left hand, you can switch your engagement ring from your right hand to your left hand.
You would usually do this after the exchange of the rings, when you are both seated again during the ceremony.
If your rings interlock, then he can place both on your left hand at the same time. This would be better than taking it off to put them together again and then put them back on.

You can do as you choose - if you are planning to wear the rings on your left hand, you would either move your engagement ring to the right hand so your left is bare to accept the wedding band, and then later put the engagement ring with it OR some women prefer not to have their engagement ring on at all for their wedding day, so they can just show off the wedding band.

The current custom is to put it on your right hand ring finger and then put it back on top of your wedding band after the ceremony. In my case, my engagement ring didn't fit on my right hand, so my husband kept it with the wedding band and put it on after the band.

Let me start off with you DO NOT TAKE the ring off your finger after your groom has placed the band on your finger at the ceremony. This is BAD LUCK!!!!!
Just have the ring either on your right hand to place on your left hand after the ceremony when you have walked back down the isle.
Or you can have your maid-of-honor give your engagement ring to your groom for him to place both rings on your finger at the same time, either way is appropriate, NEVER take your band off once it is placed on your finger.

Most people wear it on their right hand during the wedding. I did not wear mine until after the ceremony. But then the wedding band goes on first. It is your choice with what ever you are comfy with. I had also considered having mine sautered together before the ceremony but needed it for engagement pics so I couldn't.

It depends on the preference of the bride. You can wear it on your right hand ring finger, or not at all. As long as the band is the first ring on the left hand ring finger, it's all good!

During the ceremony, wear it on your right hand ring finger. After your wedding band goes on during the ceremony, place it on your left ring finger (wait til the ceremony is over to move it).

You don't wear it until you are married then you can put it on top of your wedding ring that is what the minister told me.He seemed a little fruity though so I don't no if he was right or not.
