I like trying to get the best deal for my buck. And I like a grocery store with a lot of diversity. I like to try new things. Very fresh produce. A great meat and fish counter.

Since this is a general question, my general response is not much. Most grocery stores are owned by large corporations who are more interested in profits than catering to the needs and wishes of its customer base.
Bring back IGA's!!!
Specifically, I like the selection the grocery store I use offers. I also like the fact that there is a bank in it. That makes it pretty convenient. Other than that, there is not much to celebrate about it. Unfortunately there are not independently owned grocery stores where I live. The big corporations have driven them all out of business.
I'd rather give my money to someone who will keep it in the community, not to stockholders or some CEO that is getting paid millions over what he is actually worth.

There's so much variety! (well at least food wise!) I almost always run into something that I think looks interesting, or yummy and find a way to corporate it into a meal. The grocery store's the place where my cooking adventures begin!

They all know me there. They'll do whatever they can for me. Like if something's not stocked, they'll go in the backroom for it. The stockers know what my favorite team is and ask what the score was while stocking. And all I have to do when they're stocking and there are boxes everywhere is to say "Hey Bob, can you throw me 2 cans of tomato paste?" They'll walk me out to my car if the vagrants are out. The veggie manager tells me where to pick from. They'll order stuff in for me if they don't have it. And I talk to my fav cashier about where she got her fingernail polish from.
I love it.

The Bakery because they always have hot fresh doughnuts,fresh baked cookies,cakes,cupcakes,bread,etc... I also love the Deli too because they are always giving away FREE samples of Cheddar and Co-Jack cheese,YUMMY!! ;-)
