I hate to be blunt....but those are lame answers you got... and they are **not** reflective of the Orthodox Creeds and have generally been declared "heresy" by the Church of the first 4-5 centuries. Those ideas are called "Modalism" and "Sabellianism". Look them up.
Here. This Creed of St. Athanasius says it best:

I am muslim convert to christianity. During my younger ages the quran confused much about the God of BIBLE. said that there is 3 Gods. But during my sincere study, i found that only ONE TRUE GOD in the HOLY BIBLE. One Triune God, who is Creator of all (Deuteronomy 6:4; Colossians 1:16), eternally existing in three distinct Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14), yet one in being, essence, power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections .God is our creator (Genesis 1:1), is eternal (Psalm 90:2), infinite (1 Timothy 1:17), sovereign (Psalm 93:1) and unsearchable (Romans 11:33-34). God is omniscient (Psalm 139:1-6), omnipresent (Psalm 139:7-13), omnipotent (Revelation 19:6), and unchanging (Malachi 3:6). God is holy (Isaiah 6:3), just (Deuteronomy 32:4), and righteous (Exodus 9:27). God is love (1 John 4:8), gracious (Ephesians 2:8), merciful (1 Peter 1:3), and good (Romans 8:28).Jesus Christ is fully God, the expressed image of the Father, who, without ceasing to be God, became man in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man (Matthew 1:21; John 1:18; Colossians 1:15

That's how God planned it. God is God. I don't get it either but I choose to believe it through faith in Him and his Word.
I have tried to fiigure out the trinity and there is no way I can come to a conclusion. Either you believe it or you don't. I have faith that God knew what he was doing when he chose 3 for the trinity and that is all I need to know. It gets mind boggling, doesn't it? Also, God can be everything to everybody.... a husband, a father, a friend etc. but that is separate from the trinity.

There are definitely parallels between the two, yet i does not be so dogmatic as to declare that they invented the trinity to replace those 3 Greek gods - "borrowed" from them, perhaps. Trinitarian doctrine certainly does not educate 3 Gods. On paper, it teaches "one being who exists in 3 persons." In prepare, I even have chanced on that it the two finally ends up in Tri-theism (concept in 3 Gods) or Oneness (have faith that God is truthfully and numerically One). a million) there is in basic terms one actual God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 40 5:5). 2) the daddy is the only actual God (John 17:3; a million Corinthians 8:6). logic utilized to Jesus: 3) Jesus is God (Colossians 2:9; a million Timothy 3:sixteen; Isaiah 40 4:6 with Revelation a million:17-18). 4) consequently, Jesus must be the daddy (John 14:9; John 10:28-30) logic utilized to the Holy Spirit 3) The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God (a million Corinthians 2:eleven,thirteen; Matthew 3:sixteen with Luke 3:22). 4) consequently, the Holy Spirit must be the Spirit of the daddy (Mark thirteen:eleven; Luke 12:12 with Matthew 10:20). the excellence isn't between "persons interior the Godhead," neither is it between "persons" in any respect yet between God present the two as an genuine and finished individual with a unique human know-how and could (Son) and as God all-powerful persevering with to exist different than for humanity with a unique divine know-how and could (Father). Good observation,
That shows EXACTLY how three elements can be one in God. Could there have been 8, sure their COULD have been, but there wasn't, because evidently that was not God's plan.
Most people make the trinity to complicated.
Look at what we profess, we believe in one God, that is the first 5 words of our creed. Why is that not good enough for non-Christians? Because others can't or won't understand it does not make it wrong.
Peace and God Bless!

They are using an analogy, which means the two things are similar, rather than identical. The point is that one person can serve more than role.
I never particularly liked this argument myself, because it can lead to confusion between substance and persons, which leads to modalism rather than trinity.

Because you are that much better than the fictional God. REAL, at any rate.
Note how Rose, and her breatheren, find it impossible to answer these questions. Instead, they say that nothing you say or do will have an impact upon what they beleive, and instead call valid questions pointing out flaws in thier religion as a smoke screen.
Pathetic.

In the bible they talked about 3 gods in the garden of eden. god, the lord and the lord god. Christians had to do somethign with this so they made the trinity. It is a lot of made up bs.

Yeah, well...its your problem. I am a Christian, I will take it either way and the elimination of the trinity theory has no bearing on what I believe.
For some reason its really a bother to non-believers. Like I said two questions earlier, just a smoke screen used to attack the validity of religion.

It is only our conceptions.
God is only one, but we can see an infinity of aspects (if we wanted to).
