That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, came and died for ALL my sins, that I'm forgiven by God, by His grace, and will live eternally in the presence of His Light and Love. I'm a Born-again Believer.

I believe that in most religious/spiritual circumstances suspension of belief and making a desicion is the best possible state of mind. Because no matter how hard you try, it all boils down to "We just don't know, but with this flawed [not necessarily a big flaw] argument A I believe concept B"

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

As a matter of principle, there is nothing I allow myself to believe in. The word implies accepting a proposition as true without substantiating evidence. Reason and logic rule my life and belief is completely irrational. I want no part of it.

I believe that .....
This universe (of many others) was formed after a big bang, not after God banged his big hand....
Life on Earth is a by-product of either abiogenesis or panspermia, not a "designer".
No species of living things is a "finished" product, but a stager in its evolutionary process, not that "we descend from monkeys"
You make a broth of elements (water, oxygen, aminoacids, carbon,etc..),, strike it with lightening, let it proof for, say, 4.5 billion years, and, VOILÃ, you got LIFE!!!
In a nutshell, I belive what is backed by consistent proof or a plausible explanation.
