I took Alitalia to Italy and had a delicious juice on the plane. For some reason I thought it was blood orange juice. Any idea of what it was and where I can get it in the US.

It very likely could have been blood orange juice. Italians use a lot of blood oranges in their cooking. They have just started to gain popularity in the US.
They have it for sale on Amazon, but it's pretty expensive.

Check out Trader Joe's or Whole Foods in your area.
TJ's carries a bottled blood orange juice but it tastes a little bit cooked. I prefer the sparkling blood orange soda. It's the best!

gourmet and natural food shops should carry it. be warned its very expensive
