And who here wants the world to continue on no matter what?

I do not wish for the world to blow up, but I do pray for Jesus to return as soon as possible...I don't see the world getting better because I see more people in pain divided, lonely hurting than I have ever did before..
We might have been able to create technology to make our life easier but we have not created human beings that are any happier.. People are more unhappy having everything they have now in a material sense than when they had less..

One Millionaire was asked, now that you have all this money are you happier? He answered no I am not, frankly I was the happiest when I had to de-frost the refrigerator and I played in the Sprinklers during the summer. Thoughts?

I'm pretty sick of this world. I am ready for the rapture of the church. I am patient enough to wait for God's timing, but I do not wish for this world to go on "as it is". The perversion, evil and meanness of people has exasperated me. I look forward with joyful expectation to the rule and reign of Jesus Christ.

Whoah... if people can't school their own minds towards altruism, compassion, wisdom, etc., how is the appearance of another being going to change things? People usually function from the level of their grasping at self-cherishment (i.e. ego) so if they're not going to become altruistic from that, then they'll likely not develop the same from the appearance of an altruistic, compassionate teacher.

Christians' eagerness for the world to end really reveals something, I think. It certainly doesn't make me want to be a Christian, or think much of the people who are.

People create their own happiness; sometimes they support this by their beliefs.
