great question - could be laziness or just lack of self esteem (needing a man to make her feel complete), lack of motivation or lack of knowledge. Could be just about anything. I am happy being self-suffucient and never want to rely on a man. I want to be happy with myself so that when I do end up dating someone I knwo its because I want to not because I need to.

Some women do, some don't. It all depends on what they were raised to believe. Different women have differing opinions on what the perfect life is. For some, it's to be married and to stay home with kids. For others, it's to concentrate on their careers. Then, there's businesswomen that also want the family at home. For these women, modern society has maybe forced them into being business women when all they really want is to be housewives. But that gets people criticizing them for making feminism take a step backward. Maybe some women don't want to have to deal with this stress and issues. I also think there's a need for comfort and trust in life that's not being fulfilled. And yes, some women are just lazy.

Most women don't understand how a relationship works because they're parents never taught them. With the economy the way it is, work hours are increasing and both parents must work to make ends meet leaving less and less time to spend with their children. The kids don't see their parents together as often and don't spend as much time talking about things. These kids grow up with a skewed idea of how a relationship works because they have very little knowlege compared to previous generations. I honestly believe this is ruining out social structure. Look at the divorce rate by age group and you'll see what I mean.

This is because of Princess-syndrome. Every little girl is taught that they are a princess, so they all want their knight in shining armor to come up and save them. They shall save them into this world of bliss just like in movies, cartoons, romance novels, and tv shows. The problem is the feelings die, and this is why most girls break up with their bfs. If a relationship is built on feelings, it will die eventually. Anyway, the perfect life seems perfect, it is just you are so enamored with your feelings that you miss what is going around you. My whole world could be tumbling down, but Johnny loves me and that is all that matters! These girls need to get a grip and stop going on emotion trips, lol! Not many guys are great at romance, and your knight in shining armor might come with a few kinks and some missing armor. Just my two cents...

...I'm not certain as to why some women occasionally think this kind of silliness really. Personally I just think some women and men are simply not capable of achieving things on there own. They're generally mentally misfitted in society otherwise. Too many excuses of failure come out of these individuals really. Mostly I just think people like this are mentally incapable of instructing themselves on how to run their own lives properly. They're always looking to blame someone or find the easy way out and around stuff seriously. They are mentally dysfunctional in my book anyways. Who would even remotely wanna be with someone that doesn't use their God given noggin properly otherwise?

I don't expect a man to build a perfect life for me. Relationships/marriages are a partnership, I expect to be an equal partner.

I think it's because of the parents. My parents always told me if I wanted something I would have to get it on my own. But I know alot of women who's parents said to marry into money or something like that. I think that a woman can do anything she puts her mind to but if her parents tell her something her whole life then maybe she won't think about doing it herself.

they've bought into the fairytale...
too bad only a few ever figure out that noone can fix them but them - if she's not looking out for herself and making the best of what she's got, then noone else can fix her. not only that, but she's going to be less attractive to the guys who have their heads on straight and know what they want: a healthy, happy, successful and confident woman.
