According to the rules of war (Geneva, and others) it is considered spying to wear the enemy uniform in combat. We shot the Germans in WW2 who wore American G.I. uniforms at the Battle of the Bulge.

I don't think anybody wants to be killed by their best friend in friendly fire. Not when he shoots at you thinking you may be an enemy.

many do that, but it attracts friendly fire and prevents you from receiving the prisoner of war status. most likely you will end up hanging on the street lights when captured.

because there would be mass confusion and no one would know whose side is who and then everyone will get parinoid and start killing there own kind and that would not be a good thing at all
