I think the 1+1+1 is an excuse to not make christianity look polytheistic. But if they realised that G-d is ONE can cannot be divided (which took me a while to get used to) then hopefully they'll understand that it is indeed using addition and not multiplication.
Wonder howcome my calculator doesn't do that...hmmm

hmmmm 1+1+1 truly equals three. if your problem is understanding God you will need revelation not a calculator.
It is not by man's wisdom we know God but by his devine revelation. There is a way that seems right to a man and this way ends in death. Our reasoning is limited and God is much greater than a common man so to know God comes only through God not from your own limited understanding. Those who love the truth receive a gift called faith and through faith comes revelation and a personal relationship with God.
God is indeed one God an he is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are created in the image of God. If we were not created in his image we would be the same as the animals who do not have an eternal spirit. Man was created flesh then God breathed in a spirit and the two became a living soul. We are also one having both a body and a spirit.

1 + 1+ 1 = 3 is necessarily true only if you're talking about the same things on both sides of the equation. For example, 1 mattress + 1 frame + 1 headboard = 1 bed. Or 1 introduction + 1 body + 1 conclusion = 1 term paper. Or 1 opening + 1 middle + 1 summary = 1 sales presentation. Etc., etc., etc. The trinity does not say 1 god + 1 god +1 god = 1 god, but rather, 1 "person" (Father) + 1 "person" (Son) + 1 "person" (Holy Spirit) = 1 God.

try a-->b-->1 The first two are unknown devine factors which are not concivable by human standards, a is an ouigional and b is a reflecton of a . the 1 is human kind which precives a through b, and b is a filter so a dose not overwhelm 1. The trinity is extreemly confuseing and hard to understand most christians don't even get it.

Are you asking the question to learn about the nature of God? If so, you could be more clear. But I get your point either way and I think it is a funny way to ask.
The key is this: you are trying to use logic to explain something that doesn't fit into natural laws of logic and nature. God is much bigger than what you are giving Him credit for.
If you really want to learn more, I can try to explain how I grasp the concept - just email me. I must admit however that I am not making any claims to fully comprehending the nature of God!
Be blessed. I pray God makes this as clear for you as it needs to be.

Yes, we must be using a special calculator -- the same one that enables me to prove Jesus is the Messiah by using Danial 9:25-26.
Now granted, this is also the calculator my kids used to type "7734" on, then giggle when they turned it upside down. (try it) I seem to remember they also made various anatomical depictions on it, but I digress.......
My kids were very easily amused when they were very young, it seems.......
EDIT: you can make 1+1+1=1 if you push the "alt" + "Christian" button on your calculator. If you don't have a "Christian" button, please read section Jn. 3.16 for further instructions.

Try multiplication. I think that if you want to get a one after combining three one's you'll get one then. Are you trying to use a calculator to understand God's nature? Good.
But will you believe your answer?

Wait a minute, christians don't believe in the technology of today's world, so let me break out my abbacus... okay.. one plus one...okay, we have two so far... plus one... I keep getting three. Maybe the beads don't believe in god either.
p.s. James, no matter how many titles I have, I can never sit at the right hand of myself, that would require me to be more than one separate entity.
