Soul itself is light that illumines itself !!

It is through the transitory ego, the soul reveals itself due to its own illumination

The whole purpose of the cosmos is that soul hides itself behind the creation....and gets the bliss of re-discovering itself through her reflection on the ego

The light is the universal life force energy and has always existed with or without the soul. The soul can reflect the light if we keep our soul clean and uncluttered. When we reflect the light, it can illuminate things that we could never see before. We can only see things when light is reflected off them. We must be careful about what we chose to shine the light upon - it would be easy to see the wrong thing as a glittering prize when in fact it is not. Where does the light come from?

How do you get it across?
Consider Hui Neng - 'Since there is no mirror, nor any mind to clean it.' (I'm paraphrasing here.) 'Where can the dust alight?)'
There is no imperfection and never was. There is nothing hidden. Everything is brightly, clearly obvious all the time. It's just a question of noticing it. (The word 'just', in this instance, merits huge amounts of hollow laughter.)
Lord! Lord! I sound as though I know what I'm talking about, a serious error.
Can I quote Rumi at you CD?
'Out beyond our understanding of right and wrong, there is a field.
I'll meet you there.'
Gassho

Well the soul is the light. And we use our inner eyes (our minds) to look at things using that light. But moist of the times, we search at the wrong places. Since the soul is within us, it's upto us to carry it where ever we want. The light shows all the possible paths, bot hthe right ones and the wrong ones. Our minds decide to choose one. Most the time we choose the wrong ones, cos all we care about is tha body and not the soul. The guide within us, our conscience bugs us at times, reminding us of other options too. And we donot want to listen to it. Without soul, there would have been no life... a stage what we call death.... complete darkness.

All he best...

I believe it depends on how you understand what you are experiencing. Remember you are the light.

I sit still and experience my soul as it makes me aware of my experience, the more aware I become of my light, my soul is thus revealed. So the two make one. The answer then is to know what the both are, and both are simple, you're still dreaming that you are separate from all that is, which of course you are not :-) however the illusion remains as long as you think you are two.

brain words are these they will crawl into your mind and make one of the two so you can see the three, when you know three four will become what you seek. Now let the word "divided "enter your mind and realise this is two because when you are divided not one can you see but them.

The light reveals the soul. The thoughts and intents of the heart. Those that want to know the truth come to the light that their deeds may be revealed. Whether they are wrought in God or no.

I like to think that the Light of the Soul re-energizes the Soul of the Light.

Light is simply that which reveals.

The soul is a unit of light which is created by the interplay of matter and spirit, and acts as a doorway or window to higher worlds. The soul has it's own light (or acts as a conduit thereof for light).

When light, or the light of the soul is sought, acknowledged, etc.--or shines upon the mind, body (lower self), the that which light shines upon becomes 'enlightened.'

Bryan

The Light reveals the soul, like the Sun reveals the landscape.

Good question! Personnally I think that "the light" and the "the soul" are 2 seperate things. I also think that reveal is the wrong word. If they are both there, they reveal themselves in their own right.
