Should one place clippings in a neat pile, allow them to ping all over the room and then vacuum them up, or place them strategically in a plant pot?

I can tell from your writing style that you are a real lady, and that this problem presents many pitfalls for such a female of high breeding. My recommendation is that one should always anticipate company. Therefore, the 'pinging' is prohibited. Deal with each single clipping at a time and place them out of sight. Nobody should see them except you. A plant pot is permissable if you can bury them deep enough and if it is out of an enquiring eye's gaze.

All 3 options are acceptable. I usually put them in a neat pile, and then throw them away when I am done. My husband prefers to let them ping all over the room and then vacuum them up. (of course I usually do the actual vacuuming)

HAHAHA
I love your questions.
I suppose strategy would be the best bet but the neat pile is most practical as you can throw them out easily later. Sometimes it's difficult to NOT let them ping all over the room.

although all 3 are ok, I am a neat freak and even leave the room to do it if someone else is there and pile them neatly, chasing down the fly aways. In the warmer months, I demand my son go outside because he does it in the living room and just lets them fly and never cleans up. (His dad even yells at him for this.) LMAO! Thanks for the chuckle!

If there's an ashtray nearby, throw them in there.

As long as you vacuum them up, it's cool to let them go on the carpet...but I don't wanna find them the next day.

Since I wouldn't want to kill my plants - I just toss them.

I don't always manage to keep the darn things from flying, but I do try!
