"Asking the Bible to define an atheist is the same as asking Hitler to define Jews.” - Author Unknown
Its not fair to ask religion about atheism, have you ever try it the other way: asking atheist what religious people are, well you won't see a lot of positive comments.
A fair definition for atheist would be this: non-believer of God.

Silly as the position is to me, the atheist position is simply that they don't believe there's enough evidence to believe in God and the philosophical premises it requires. That's all.
As for your definition, I'm afraid it's about as nonsensical to me. You can't redefine a term whenever you like. If words mean anything at all, they must transcend the individual to a degree.

The most commonly accepted answer is that an atheist is someone who doesnt believe in an almighty being, in God. Without implying anything specific, an atheist would rather believe in the big bang theory, rather than it is God's creation or believe in Darwin's evolution process, rather than Adam & Eve.
This is as opposed to a freethinker, which is normally defined as someone who DOES believe in God, but doesnt profess to any religion/doesnt believe in any specific religion, messenger, doctrines etc.

You are filled with a large amount of a brown, disgusting, semi-solid substance that has been eliminated from the digestive tract of a sexually functional male bovine.
As an atheist, I do not believe in God, a god, a goddess, or gods. I DO believe in myself. If I didn't I wouldn't be going back to college.

I don't believe there are any atheists. I think that deep down inside everyone that they believe in a supreme being. I believe in the Judeo-Christian God of all creation God the Father, God the Son, and Got the Holy Spirit. I believe that those that don't want to conform to the creators wishes for us on earth find it easier to deny His exsistance in order to be guiltless of whatever they want to do. To justify their actions in an attempt to no longer be accountable.
