Why doesn't God just destroy him. If God is all powerful, shouldn't he be able to get rid of an angel, who is obviously lower on the totem pole than him? He can do anything and everything, yet he can't get rid of the devil. Hmmmm, makes a lot of sense.

You are wrong. Girls are evil and I will now prove that scientifically.

First we state that girls require time and money
Girls = Time x Money

And as we all know time is money
Time = Money

Therefore:
Girls = Money x Money = (Money)2 (squared)

And because Money is the root of all evil
Money = *square root* of Evil

Therefore:
Girls = (*square root* of Evil)2 (squared)

Girls = Evil

The Devil didn't used to be evil. God created him perfect. He used to be a beautiful, glorious angel in Heaven named Lucifer, and he occupied the highest position just under Christ Himself. He was well-loved and respected by all Heaven. However, he let his position and beauty go to his head; he wanted God's job. He believed he could do a better job of running the universe than God, and he eventually led a revolt of 1/3 of the angels. God threw them all out of Heaven down to Earth. If God had destroyed him right away, all the Heavenly beings would have worshipped God out of fear, and they would have questioned His judgment. They would have wondered, "Why was this guy Lucifer so bad? He was just trying to improve Heaven." In order for the whole universe to see that God's judgment is just, He had to allow Satan the chance to show everyone his true character. The last 6,000 years have seen the terrible results of Satan's government on Earth. Christ's death on the cross and subsequent resurrection dealt a terrible blow to Satan. He is upping the stakes now, because he knows he only has a short time left to live. That is why our world has seen a dramatic increase in violence, immorality and degeneration in recent years. Christ will return soon and destroy the Devil, who will never be able to cause sin again. Then everyone will know how evil Satan really was and that God's judgment was just.

He will and very soon; as it's explained in Revelation 20:1-3 - "And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he hurled him into the abyss and shut [it] and sealed [it] over him, that he might not mislead the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be let loose for a little while."

In God's time not yours

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever

I think that god does not destroy him because with no evil in the world nobody would die and there for nobody goes to heaven!
