I'm adopted by white parents and grew up in a white community. As a result, I've only dated white guys (they're the only ones that talk to me!), but I would like to try to date an Asian guy. I'm in New York now. The thing is, how do I even get an Asian guy to talk to me? Would they even be interested? Sometimes I feel I wouldn't be "Asian" enough for them. Ya know, like they want to date someone who's really Asian or a white girl. Any input or advice?

I feel you girl. I'm half Japanese, half-white. I grew up in Hawaii and have also lived in California. I have always been attracted to Asian women but for some reason I never seem like I'm their type. I always see the Filipino girls dating Filipino guys, and the same for the Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese girls. When it comes to my physical appearence, I look entirely more white than asian. In fact everyone always thinks I'm joking when I say I'm asian. However, I understand what your going through. I've always wanted to date an asian girl but only seem to attract white girls. I honestly feel that I'm not asian enough for them! In your case I think it might be somewhat easier. Guys, regardless of race/ethnicity love women. I think any guy would appreciate it if a girl was interested in them regardless of race. good luck.

Dude you find different folks in all walks of life Is this honestly worth paying attention to I saw girls like that on my college campus and thought nothing of it, if that is what they like so be it. Just live your life and enjoy it The highest population of women in this world are Asian women, since Asians have the largest population in the world There is more than enough of them for all kinds of guys to like, be they whatever background If the girls is Asian, Black, White, or whatever background and doesn't like me so be it, I wouldn't let anyone else define how I interact with others All this separation stuff just leaves a bad taste

Some people Asian people goes there to study too.though some guy can be real greek L0L.Well maybe you can tell your parents that you wanna go abroad to study
like go to Singapore to study or go there for a trip just try not to hurt them.after all they adopted you..(try stay for a year or two)you will feel comfortable with it and it will make you think that your Asian again!

(just beware 9/10% Singaporeans are baddies,gangsters,and many more.. but think on the bright side the 1/10% side lol!

Why dont you join an organization, something specifically for Asian-Americans.
Also, you could volunteer with an Asian organization...Do you go to school? I know a lot of college campuses have organizations along these lines. There are a multitude of ways to meet people.

Honestly, everyone is going to have their own preference. I am Asian and I prefer white men. But, if I met the right Asian man, or Hispanic man, or whatever... it wouldn't matter. It's the person that matters. If you meet an Asian man that only wants Asian women then move on to the next!!!

nothing like tat... every persons attitude n charecters demand different kinds of desires... keep trying.. .NY is not lacking Asian community... but Asian guys most of time look forward to longterm relationship n family oriented..so speak to them before what u both wana do with ur lives

Welcome to New York. I wonder what is "Asian enough?" Hmm. I'm Asian so maybe I could tell. To me, it a matter of degrees of "Asianess." I'm second generation btw. For the record, I love Asian girls :^)
