The only enemy we have to fight with Gods help is our own ignorance. God is not interested in helping us to defeat other people, only in helping us to defeat our own desires to be a God, or to be independent of God.

It depends on which kind of enemy you’re talking about. If you’re talking about someone you know who is trying to argue the existence of God I would say to pray and get into the word; find out what the Bible says and memorize scriptures that support what God says. If you’re talking about the enemy…as in the devil…the best way to handle him is also prayer, pray in your prayer language (if you have received it ), or pray aloud…remember, the devil cannot read your mind so if you’re praying to address issues with him to God you need to pray aloud. Remember, Jesus said to love your enemies…so if they are struggling in a certain area or in their walk with God it is important for you to intercede in prayer on their behalf.

there a certain verses that talk about God's protection against enemies.
however, I find that concept of enemy very ungodly. I would rather quote this scripture for you:
1 John 4
12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
or Romans 12
17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. 20On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Thats easy, you are referring to Spiritual Warfare.
2Cr 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2Cr 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
