Last night me and a few guys went swimming. My bf, me and his brother [ richie] and his friend [cameron] all were having a blast swimming in the lake and my mom had finally aloud us to go by our selves. Once she called and told us to come back we were on the other side of the lake and its a good 40 acers[sp?] back to shore and so we had a pattle boat and Richie and Cameron stole that so me and my bf were stuck swimming and i cant swim that far cause my legs get tired so we had to call the guys back and they were half way acrost the lake and that took another 10 mins and then a good 20 mins to get to shore and my mom thought i was giving the guys "a show" and i talked to her once we got home and said " well if i was giving the guys a show would ihave asked u if my top was showing anything and u should know that i dont like showing anything!" she said " well thats true, but since you were with 3 of them they could have talked u into it" why would she think that?

Part of being a parent is worrying and fearing the worst might happen to those you love.
It's even worse for her than you may think, since she's had more years to hear more horrible stories of what can happen to kids, and imagine them happening to her baby girl.
This can make her seem over protective, which is a drag. I remember being a kid and thinking "What, do they think I'll end up dead in a ditch?"
And now that I'm pushing 40 and have young people I care about, I can say "Yes, I'm terrified that they'll end up dead in a ditch."
Just do your best to reassure her, and know that she gets this way out of love, not just to annoy.
And be careful swimming, because now I will worry about you too. :-)

Chill out, she's just looking out for you. She knows how manipulative young men can be and she wants to make sure you don't get hurt in the long run. Parents don't do things to drive you insane (well, sometimes). They do them because they want what's best for you. It may be hard to see it now, but they actually do remember what it's like to be young and they want to spare you the hurt and retarded mistakes that comes along with it.

because that is their job. if they didnt worry about you, it would mean that they dont love you enough. also, you have to admit the story is pretty crazy, and it would be too hard for someone to find it unbelievable. Just get over it. That is what parents do.

sweetie, mothers know when their child is doing something wrong or potentially wrong, you guys did steal a boat...... mothers just know, i have 4 kids and i know when one is up to something no matter how big or small, i just know

shes being a jerk.... u need to let her know how you feel... ask her y she doesnt trust u and that she hurt ur feelings when she said that to you... ur mother should know u better.... talk to her
