The degree is the same, money isnt. You have to pay more to get your degree in private colleges.

Unfortunately the majority of Private Medical Colleges in India are not very good. You still end up with a medical degree but may find it difficult to get a good job. There are a few good ones though. I believe Kasturba Medical College, Manipal is fairly good. There may be a few others but be careful and make sure the degree is recognized by the Medical Council of India before you commit yourself.
